My best friend drives an M3, and I think it's a great car.

no, I just disagree with your comment, not arguing about it with "what ifs" that slant towards my view.

My what if is completely warranted.

What can you tell me about the drivers of the following vehicles:

Up or down the list of cars with age? I'll tell you the phases you went through.

NM. I thought they were the cars you owned.

I think an M3 is different than a 3 series. I drive a 328, I don't think it's a big deal that I drive it, and I'm even conceding that it's kind of a girly car. But I don't give a single frick what anyone thinks.

certainly don't respect them for what they drive

This.

IMHO, a car gets you to point A to point B. If you spend money to try and look cooler to someone else, you're trying to hard and wasting money.

That would be pretty silly since then he could just say they all look like a LNCHBOX would drive them

I'd like to know what broad generalizations he could make about the owners of those vehicles.

I thought that was going to be the grand reveal.

I don't know anybody who personally bought a BMW right out of college.

I could go buy a BMW today. Am I? No. Because at the end of the day, the shite breaks down just like every other Honda, Ford and Chevy at double the maintenance and repair cost.

People have different points of view on what to spend on a vehicle. Usually it's 1. Get something that gets the job done and it doesn't have to be flashy or expensive and 2. Get something you will enjoy if you drive it everyday.

I'm 2. But I definitely see the validity in 1. It's just preference.

Yea, all depends on your mindset. I'm a car nut, so I have to like what I drive. My current vehicle handles almost every need and want I have for a vehicle. Keyword almost

Nice. I'm looking for black with caramel leather under 75K. Haven't found the right one to pull the trigger yet.

You spend anytime over at m5board? There are a lot of cars for sale over there that are meticulously cared for.

Need to look at E34s as well. They are even a bit more sexy IMO. Low miles isn't something I'd focus on. Everything can and will have been replaced anyway, so proper maintenance is the bigger selling point.

This is just unreal.
