Lotta buzz out there on these two...
Would make more sense as to why Koenning left an SEC OC gig to become WRs coach at Texas.

They filled their staff yesterday.

TE - Bruce Chambers (TE coach at Texas)
OL/OC - Joe Wickline (OL coach and run-game coordinator at Oklahoma State)
DL - Chris Rumph (DL coach at Alabama)
LB - Brian Jean-Mary (LB coach at Louisville)
CB/ST - Chris Vaughn (DB coach at Memphis)
S/DC - Vance Bedford (DC at Louisville)

Koenning gets a pay raise, is closer to his family and doesn't have the pressure of an OC job.

pure conjecture. probably will be Watson. but, that hasn't happened yet.

That is quite a staff. Nicely done by Strong.

Supposedly he is the OC at UT, athough I don't know what the title Assistant Head Coach of Offense that Watson now has means.

that's not his title lol. nobody has a clue what's going on. not horns Sooners the media, nobody. defensive staff is filled and top notch. the O, could be great or bad. that depends on the oc hire. that hire has not been announced yet.

hey dumbass, y'all have hired 9 coaches. That's the NCAA limit. This is your coaching staff.

hey illiterate frick face. full staff or not, nobody knows who in the frick the oc is going to be. also nobody had officially said Koenig was on the staff. at the time of that post. in fact, it still isn't a done deal.

you posted this this morning. Koennig was hired yesterday whether announced or not. See the 2nd post in this thread. I mean I'm all for you venting about your staff because I think it's hilarious watching y'all tear each other apart but it's really not a bad one.
But you continuing to hold out hope that some ethereal hire is going to be made to make it palatable to mouth breathers like yourself is pretty sad. Not as sad as you spending over a year of your life pathetically (and transparently) trolling on the SECr masquerading as an Ag because you are ashamed of the school you root for. But still, pretty fricking sad.

get over it. I am a long horn fan. that much is obvious. second link in this thread doesn't say shite. it a media report. we've seen lots of those in the last 6 weeks. about 1% are correct.

I am starting to think that Chambers may be moving over to the recruiting coordinator job and it would free up one more coaching spot. If he gets moved over the staff would make sense with just about any spread OC..
The Chambers retention is still a head scratcher to me...

while a possibility, there really is no reason to delay on that. If you had a different OC, it would be best to have him in there ASAP. There is zero benefit to waiting as it doesn't give him time to discuss current players, direction of the offense, and roster deficiencies in the new scheme before the dead period ends. He's not going to do that while employed elsewhere. And of course it creates anxiety among recruits.
I'd put more stock into the idea that Chambers is there to provide continuity for the transition and he gets whacked/re-assigned post-signing day and replaced by a HS coach (esp since Strong specifically mentioned bringing a TX HS coach on staff). Occam's Razor and shite.

Meltdown at Shaggy in full force LULZ

I don't understand why. Watson is a really good OC.

OL Coach Joe Wickline will call plays- Charlie Strong
Posted on 1/15/14 at 6:23 pm to adammwilson
Because he is not a really good OC.
