Who?
Remember, I quoted the 2 or 3 good years before they leave. We can even specifically make that 2 good years.
How many All-SEC awards were claimed by:
Simon
Ford
Ware
Wing
Turner
Ferguson
Johnson
Some of those barely had one all conference year, and our defensive tackles this year lived on reputation. Everybody loses stars, we lose role players.
I've heard the excuses given for everyone of them, but I find it odd that we have so many special circumstances compared to the rest of college football.

Nope, you can't.
January, 2008- Sugar Bowl, BCS Campionship game
January, 2012, Sugar Bowl, BCS Championship game
January, 2014 - January, 2008 = 6 years.
And 3 in 7 years....January, 2007, Sugar Bowl, BCS game vs Notre Dame.
LSU-41, Notre Dame- 14.

Do you know without a doubt that by them returning for another year, they would have improved their situation?

So what are you getting at? What do you think the reason is?

How do people still count players that were dismissed from the team as "leaving early"? If you keep mentioning Wing your argument sucks.

Why do they leave?
I don't know the full answer to that. I do have an opinion, but it won't be popular on here.

For fricks sake, wing played football here got kicked off and went into the draft. Had he attended another university, then they would get the credit but because he did not enroll in any college after that we got the credit. It may have been forced but it was an early entry

So you are counting January 2008 now? Okay, today is Jan. 14, 2014.
Jan 2009
Jan 2010
Jan 2011
Jan 2012
Jan 2013
Jan 2014
6 years, 1 BCS bowl.
Count the seasons. It's six of them, ask anybody.

No freaking shite but he didn't leave early. He got kicked off before his dumbass could get through school. The purposes of his discussion are trying to prove that we have some underlying problem causing players to leave early. For the purposes of that argument, no rational person would actually be counting Wing to try to prove their point.

Les Miles has lost control of Bruce Feldman's spell check.

I think we do have a problem with players leaving early. Some do well but others fade away in obscurity and some well don't make it at all. If all of our early departures were doing well in the NFL then this would not be a problem but they are not.

Sorry guys, but that is the perception around the country. It is NOT a good image to have. Win the titles, and there won't be any ridicule.
Don't win titles- players bolt
Win titles- players bolt

I have mentioned here before that many of the defensive players left after 2012 because they were tired of being left on the field all game by an inept offense. That created wear and tear on their bodies, which they know is their money maker. Instead of staying and breaking down, they left early.
I got laughed at for saying that, but that came from a players mouth.
Which players could have improved draft stock? Nobody knows for certain, anything could have happened, but I think Simon, Ferguson, Johnson, and Turner could have made more money long term by staying another year. Of course Wing, and some keep arguing that he was kicked off, but he quit on school because he had his mind set to go to the pros anyway. He wasn't trying to stay on the team.

I'll make a deal with you.
When you sweat your balls off in August 2-a-days and then stand in front of 300 lb young dudes and shed that big bastard in order to take on a Jeremy Hill running at you with a 10 yd head start and you stick your body in that harms way....ALL just for my entertainment.....i promise I will not be upset with whatever decision you make about your future and will not criticize it.

So they don't want to come back and risk injury and hurting their future NFL careers. So they go ahead go to the NFL to start making money in their career. This is a bad reflection upon the LSU football program. Got it.

Most of these kids grew up with dreams of playing on Sundays. Of course they're going to jump all over the first opportunity to work hard and make it to the top. Not to mention the large contract and freedom that comes with.
If you disagree with a draft eligible player leaving early, you aren't being rational. Plain and simple.
