the posters stating lortab has been d/c'd are correct.

opioid products containing 500mg of Tylenol are being phased out in favor of the same products with 325mg instead

Lortab/Hydrocodone has no pain killing effect on me. It just makes me pissed off and angry. If I ever need serious pain relief, I know the docs are going to treat me like an addict.

that's why it's extremely addictive

I don't take it that often because if I did I'd probably need about 30 mg to even feel anything.

I've known people who have to take 10-15 pills a day just to function. Crazy.

Yep, people get seriously confused with the brand names instead of worrying about the actual drug. Some people will treat a lortab and a Norco like 2 completely different things, when they both are Hydrocodone, only diff is the small amount of Tylenol

The pharmacy should've called the doc to have it changed. No longer will any pain relievers be available with more than 325mg of acetaminophen (Tylenol).

I have a buddy that was diagnosed with a bulging disc yesterday and filled a perscription for Percocet right after his appointment.

It's not that the aren't allowed to dispense it but the adminstration changed how much quantity a pharmacy can have on hand which is very minimal

To my regular physician who is perfectly capable of subscribing pain meds when they are necessary.

Percocet is not Hydrocodone. It's oxycodone

Probably because Lortab that she had been getting is no longer available. She will have to be switched to another hydrocodone-acetaminophen product that contains 325 mg of acetaminophen or less per dose such as Norco (325mg) or Vicodin's new formulations (300 mg).

This makes sense. Too much acetaminophen is bad for the liver.

Doesn't make sense that a pharmacist can't swap out the 5/500 for the 5/325. The amount of narcotic is the same.

why the frick would you combo a opioid and partial mu agonist?

Because for me, the combination of hydrocodone and tramadol relieves both the physical pain of a 60-year old back ... and the psychic pain of living this nightmare existence. In fact, at this moment, I am under the influence of four Norco tablets and seven 50 mg tramadol tablets. I'm taking a short break from a marathon song playing session, roughly 50 compositions I've written. I'm happily, and to my mind, productively engaged in an activity I quite enjoy, and the narcotics play no small role in the pleasure I take at singing and strumming away.

It's for reasons such as this that I combine hydrocodone and tramadol.
