I would bet that Chase will be changing the UR points structure soon. These new “mirror “ business cards...if they also do a sapphire reserve equivalent...makes me think that we may not be able to pool points and do things like transfer between personal and business cards.

Are the Chase ink plus and chase ink preferred now “combined” offers. Meaning you can only get one or the other in the 2 year period now. That is how the CSP and CSR are treated now. Lame.

Anybody know the answer to this?

I guess more accurate asked, if the chase ink plus was seemingly replaced by the ink preferred, would I need to wait two years from the date I redeemed the ink plus (old card) to qualify for an ink preferred reward?

Seems like that's the handwriting on the wall.

Not really sure but I thought it was the sapphire cards and SW cards that were limited like that. How long ago did you get the Plus? Probably close to 2 years now.

The Ink products are all separate and you should be able to get the bonuses for all of them.

Great thanks for clarifying.

To dave- it had only been about a year since I got the ink plus reward.

Has anyone else had trouble with chase not auto approving apps even with a great credit score and under the 5/24? The last two cards I have applied for they need more time to review for some reason

Ya no way.

Downgrade CSP to Freedom then apply for CSR.

If you already have Freedom, now you have two.

I need some advice. I just got a CSP 2 months ago and I have gotten the 50k bonus already. My plan is to end up with a CSR, Freedom Unlimited, and Freedom. Now obviously I know I can't have both the CSP and CSR at the same time, but if I drop my CSP to an Unlimited and then apply for a CSR, could I get the 50k startup bonus for that as well? I didn't know if there is a certain time frame I need to wait until after I lower my CSP down, or if I can go ahead and do that and then apply for the CSR?

Yeah. 2 years. That was the whole point of my question with the different ink lines. Read above, including the link

Yeah there has been too much smoke regarding this. I have already pooled all my points from all my cards onto my wife's reserve account. If it does happen though I would imagine they would set a date in the future where you can no longer transfer instead of it being effective immediately. If they come out with a CSR equivalent for business though it shouldnt be a huge deal because you could just pool the biz points onto that for the 1.5x redemption.

It would be a huge dealbreaking deal if I had to carry two premium cards instead of one.

I’m not clear from the article... if my wife drops the CSR now (she only got it for the 100,000 points but didn’t cancel before the 1 year mark as planned) can she get the signup for CSP at the 2 year mark from the signup for the CSR? Or is it 2 years from cancellation?

(TLDR... does the 2 year clock start after you cancel one or after you open one?)

I've had two friends who would normally be qualified not get auto approved for CSR & Ink Preferred recently.

2 years from opening the card. How long ago did the 1st year AF hit? If not long ago you can call and get it off and downgraded

All Chase bonuses can be churned two years from the date the bonus was EARNED.

Ie I apply for Chase United on 1/1/16. I'm approved 4 days later. I earn the bonus on my statement dated 3/12/16. I cancel the United card at some point.

I will be eligible for the Chase United bonus again on 3/12/18. Obviously, letting a few days pass before applying after this date is prudent.

Thanks to you both. It’s way too late for us to get out paying the yearly fee now. Come December my wife will get the 50,000 points and probably keep the card. If I’m allowed to (not sure since I will still have the CSR), I will get the points, transfer them to my CSR account then cancel.

So Chase isn't letting me move my Ink cash points to my Sapphire Reserve card.

Is this the changes ya'll are referring to?

I just applied for the CSR. I have a great credit score and they reviewed it. Called me a day later just to confirm my cell phone number and that was it. They approved me there. Kind of odd, but whatever. I got the CSR.

I just logged in and transferred points from my Freedom, Freedom Unlimited, and Ink Cash to my CSR, just to make sure I still could.

No clue why you're having a problem doing so.
