MOs and GCA. MOs are way more scaleable than any other method. If you are smart, its easy to stay under 0.7% with this method. You wont find another method that is as simple, requiring lesser work and is this cheap. You could try GCA but imo it requires way more effort in tracking and accounting.
How are you scaling MO's? If I could stay under 0.7% I would certainly be happy, but I haven't figured out a way, as of yet, to do that? Typical charge/$500 card is 3.95-6.95, coupled with 0.70 at WM or 1.20-1.60 at PO, I just dont see how you're doing it? If you would prefer to email, I'd love to be clued in on what you are doing to stay at 0.7%.
As far as GCA's, sorry for my ignorance, but are you talking about the gift of college card? Or just a gift card account?
Have you heard of any success purchasing larger/ish items, requesting gift receipt, and either having it credited to a different (debit card) or cash? Ive read neiman marcus gives cash refunds for items over $2000 and kohls will give corporate issued refunds.

While it may be hypocritical or arbitrary, I think this crosses my ethical boundary.

I bought some of the MC gcs from Office Depot as part of their sale (that died way too early! )and went to liquidate them at Walmarks. Not as easy as the Visas BTW. I kept getting errors and the change pmt method wouldn't come up and the cancel didn't get me there either. I chatted with the checkout lady and I asked about their "card cashing" service listed on the wall. She said that my cards wouldn't work but I could just go buy something and bring it to her and she would give me the cash. I said I have 6 $200 cards and would that be a problem? She said "no."
I bought 2 laptops using all 6 cards and walked right back to customer service for the return.
Walked out with $1200 cash and a smile.

Just noticed my first AF from my Ink+, does anyone know if it's worth trying to get something for retention? I'm keeping the card forever so not sure if it much matters.

I was able to get a point offer on my old Bold, but never the Plus for some reason. With that said, I'm actually planning on downgrading my Plus to a Cash this year. I see no reason carrying a Plus and a Sapphire Reserve.

Well, if you use it for business purposes and you want to keep things separate then the + is a great business card with the 5x categories. My plan was to get the CSR but since they dropped the bonus I may just get the CSP. I'm also thinking of getting the Preferred first since the bonus is better.

My understanding is that the Cash has the same categories.

Got ya, I go for travel rewards so I wasn't thinking in the cash back format but you're correct on the 5x.

I don't have the card, so I can't personally confirm, but it's my understanding that you receive points you can either redeem for cash or transfer to another card to use as UR, just like a Freedom.

Yeah that's what I do. I have the Freedom and CSR and use the Freedom for the 5x's categories and transfer to my CSR ultimate rewards to use for travel because they're worth more.

I know it works with the Freedom; I've been told it works for the Cash.
Anyone confirm?

Ya I can confirm.
I have between my wife and I two bolds and a Cash. Going to be 3 cash soon since she has Reserve.

Just got the CSR and planning to do the same thing, although I don't travel much.
