UE rate down to 6.7%, but even CNN admits this is because of workers leaving labor force.
Right.
Here are the trends:
Unemployment rate:
Civilian Labor Force Participation Rate:
So it is entirely clear that this economy is reducing it's unemployment rate by simply counting less participants.

It was pretty telling when I flipped to both CNN and MSNBC and both didn't have any positive spin to put on this news. That's when you know its REALLY bad. However, I'm sure there is some dem out there that will try and tout this as a victory

Answer this: which has fallen by a greater % in those 2 charts
1. The unemployment rate
2. The labor participation rate

Seriously just take a look at the graph. At peak unemployment we were at 10% and now down to roughly 7%
That's a 30% drop
At the same time the labor force participation rate was a hair ovr 65%, but for the sake of argument let's say 65.5%
Now it's at ~62.7%
So the UE rate drops 30% and the labor participation rate drops about 4.3%
I'm supposed to be outraged how exactly?

Good lord Powerman
Seeing that Obama took office in January of 2009, I think it is fair to use that as our start point.
January 2009
Unemployment~7.8%
Participation~65.7%
Today
Unemployment~6.7%
Participation~ 62.7%
So unemployment has went down 1.1% and Participation has went down 3%
If you want to use the percent of what they started at and what they are now, then you're looking at Unemployment 8.5% and Participation 9.5%.
At the end of the day, they are about the same
WAY TO GO OBAMA!!!!
