I applaud Iowa for a great game. With our green qb, I am just glad we won. I was especially proud of our defense, the 2nd. time this season it looked like the old LSU defense.

Gain the advantage of slowing the offense down
At the expense of losing a guy for at least one play? I'm not sure advantage is the right word. Their is a benefit to "faking" an injury but it comes at a cost.

Yes. I live in Houston and I can't walk out side to mail box or go get a donut at DD without some random A-hole walking up to me and saying LSU cheated. its ridiculous. its all everyone cares about.

So if a player has a concussion we should let the offense continue to run players and not give that guy a chance to get off the field

the simple fact is that this entire discussion assumes any of the injury stoppages in the iowa game were faked. unless one of them can be unequivocally proved as faked, who gives a shite about someone's whining? that anthony johnson grabbed one hamstring and then had the trainers work on the opposite leg isn't proof that anything was faked. maybe it was, but it isn't exactly rocket science to accept the fact that a 300+ lb. d-lineman could have cramps in both legs at the same time near the end of the game.
back up your accusation. if you don't, no one really should care the slightest about your opinion.
booing all injuries across the board is low class and shameful. iowa is the first game i can remember where that happened. sure, i've seen individual injuries booed, but i think every single one was booed by the hawkeye fans (albeit, not all hawkeye fans).

Is the game up on youtube or anywhere? I remember thinking live "That's the wrong leg you idiots!" but then taking the extra second to realize they were pushing his legs down flat cause he was keeping that leg up. Seconds after that picture I think they are on the left leg, but I don't remember which leg they actively worked on after that point.
That said, this isn't going to go anywhere. Any rules that try to punish it will be hard to enforce cause no one wants to be that dick that penalizes a team for "faking" an injury when the player actually was hurt.

It's low class and against the rules. Running an uptempo offense isn't against the rules. It needs to be dealt with harshly by the NCAA.
What a douche.

Are you kidding, Iowa was pathetic on Offense, LSU did not have to do much to stop them!!!!

That video makes that picture looks so deceitful. Go iowa.

The Patriots run a lot of hurry up offense, does that make Tom Brady less talented?
His offensive success doesn't depend on it. They also don't run it the entire fricking game.
Also, yes, his WRs are immensely less talented than many others.

Matt Flynn purposely did it against Bama I believe.
Was Bama trying to run a hurry-up defense?

We've been doing it for years, first time it was obvious to me was the Oregon came
And kelly was going nuts complaining about the saints doing it.
Hey they can complain all they want and boo, but some of the players actually missed games. I doubt we would fake an injury then sit a player just to prove he was injured.

Night and day difference between that and pretending to be hurt to gain an advantage.
So trying to end glen dorseys career is better than faking an injury where no player is actually hurt or career in jeopardy?
Anyways, do yall remember USCe fans saying we cheated and played too rough in 2007?

I also agree that it's bitch ball. If you can't make a play simply because you had to wait a minute for someone to get check out then you need to learn to execute better. It's a poor excuse. We couldn't get any yardage because we had to slow down for a second. Cry me a river. All that says is that they can't line up man to man and beat you.

LSU 21 - Iowa 14. Deal with it corn holes.

If we're really all about player safety, having the dline get that exhausted can lead to overheating, dehydration, etc.
This is actually a good point. Several young men in just about every sport have lost their lives to overheating. If they are worried about player safety, then guys need to be able to substitute when its still 98 in october in the south.

Matt Flynn purposely did it against Bama I believe. That's my earliest memory
Yes he did but it had nothing to do with any type of substitution or hurry up. He broke his chin strap on the play and did it to prevent LSU getting charged with a timeout. Smart thinking if you ask me.

On a sidenote, it's fun to see a team try the uptempo and get absolutely destroyed on it - like LSU did Oregon in 2011.
