Will the mid-size version sit in a 5x10 trailer? It's the 500 I think. That's what I'll be looking into shortly

The crew will not. I am unsure if the single cabs are the same width tho. Im sorry, may wanna ask dealership. We needed a 6x12 to haul the 2013 900 Crew

Yes, that's what I have. They say it will fit in the back of a pickup.
ETA: unless you are talking about the 500 EFI Crew. It will not fit on a 10ft trailer.
