What lifelong prima donnas has he actually had to deal with in your opinion?

Maybe Prima Dona wasn't the right word but most NBA players that go in the first round have been one of if not the best player on their team and even in their league/conference for their entire life. Many have been able to get by on superior talent alone and have never had to hone that talent much to achieve success.

Thornton didn't work

Allegedly because he didn't take Monty's coaching from what Gerry V has said. Although I think there was CP3 jealousy at play there too. How could there not have been the way Thornton got love from the fans?

CP3 forced his way out

I'm not sure what the standard plan for stars on a non contender has to do with this discussion.

Eric Gordon is still lazy as hell

Gordon is pretty much only taking open shots this year, and lot fewer of those jab step 20 footers. He's bought in to his role on the team.

Austin Rivers is sitting at the end of a bench despite seemingly having the exact opposite attitude you would have expected.

There are only 2 explanations I can come up with for what is happening to Rivers. 1) Monty thinks that Roberts will give him a better chance to win, even if that chance is miniscule he's feeling enough heat that he'll take it at the long term expense of Rivers or 2) He honestly thinks he's helping Rivers by making him earn minutes.

You gave reasons for the 4 but didn't mention that they still failed under Monty. Thornton got pushed out, cp3 did enough to show value and quit on us, and Gordon isn't worth talking about.

I defended ego for 2 years. He's out of shape and less invested than his talent dictates. I was wrong and I'll admit it. Gordon has the strength and quickness to be a BEAST on d, even after losing a step post-surgery. if he cared 2 shites bout winning he'd hone that considering his offensive role has lessened. They got him his aau friends and it hasn't mattered. It's not necessarily Monty but it's definitely not something Monty would put on his resume.
