When did ESPN say it?
I can vividly remember during the CFB awards ceremony, and I'm sure I'm not going out on a limb saying there's been much more.
Herbstreit actually said it during this broadcast, but about an AU player. I hate when media people say it, it's so demeaning IMO.

He's excited. Dude always seems like he's having fun. I like seeing that rather than the "business only" model that some fans like to see. I like the passion.
100% of the time? No.
It's no different than the Tebow persona. There is nothing wrong with being business like from time to time.

I mean hell. I get it. When I'm watching a game and I hear a black football player for the 1st time and he speaks well, I aint gonna lie. I'm like, "well, aint that a nice change of pace".
But ya really can't keep doing that on national TV. It just comes off bad and for the individual black player, it's gotta be like, "WTF"? I mean, if I'm that kid I'm thinking, "I'm just me........why do I have to be the 'smart black guy'"?

Exactly, I couldn't stand to listen to his Heisman speech.

100% probably not. 100% when he's talking about a game? I don't see why not.

Apparently McCarron's mom tweeted "is this english?" or something like that during his interview then quickly deleted it. i'm sure someone here will find it.

He's fricking 22 as a Redshirt Freshman.
Don't know if you are stupid or using a dumbass stereotype. Dude finished high school with a 4.0 and was offered by Stanford.

For some reason the media thinks his childish slang is "well spoken" and he's oh so mature for his age.
The media has never let this on. In fact, it's the exact opposite.
