And Les still won 10 games

Pretty amazing if you look at it objectively

LSU and Miles give all of these players the entire picture and then it's up to them

It is what it is

Dodge and deflect. I've only seen one decent attempt at answering the question in the OP, and I don't think Clemson had that many early entries the last two years.

You guys keep totally ignoring the elephant in the room.

Don't we have the most players on NFL rosters out of all college teams? It might stand to reason that we're going to have more early exits if we have more NFL players drafted period.

Obviously that someone isn't you nor the post you quoted.

Try reading the Original Post and answering the question. Or just ignore the disturbing trend and go on a blind tirade.

2013
Ware, Ford, Faulk, Sam, Mingo, Logan. Minter. Simon. Reid, Wing.

I would say the loss of those 3 didn't really hurt us at all. The others were a big deal.

Faulk would have never played(been on IR the whole year), so going was a good decision for him. Montgomery and Mingo both had good draft grades after their RS soph years and both decided to come back. They were 4 years players when they left. So were Minter and Logan.

Only Simon should have come back, but it's understandable why he left. He would have been a 3rd round, maybe 2nd round pick if not for the arrest. Scouts loved his measurables and production his sophomore year

To me this this can be as much a recruiting tool as a bad thing.

1.) You'll have the opportunity to step up and be a starter faster when positions become open by people leaving early.

2.) If you perform well you can be in the NFL faster than most schools.

what is that

That lsu is lapping the field in early entries the last two years. Last year, coming off a 2nd straight national title, Bama lost two early deflections. LSU lost 11. However, this is not a Bama vs LSU thing, nobody in the country is losing as much as LSU.

At least it was a thoughtful response. Guess that's a silver lining.

I wish the poster would go ahead and spit it out, what is the elephant in the room we are ignoring???????

Just maybe LSU does the best job in the country of preparing players for NFL?

Maybe LSU has the most talented roster in rhe country thats why its players are in such high demand?

The guys that have left have made a roster. They came here to further there career and that is exactly what they did. I would come to LSU for that reason alone. Nothing wrong with loading the NFL with Alumni IMHO...

We aren't paying our players enough to stay?

So far this year Florida and South Carolina has each had 4 underclassmen declare for the draft. Alabama will have quite a few declare their intentions as well.

Underclassmen going pro isn't an LSU only issue, last year we just had one of the best Junior classes in recent times.

Thats gotta be it.

LSU is getting out bid by the NFL. Where Alabama isn't.
Because you know with posters like this it always goes back to Alabama.

The early departures in 2012 weren't wrong. Only two were 3 year players and both had good draft grades. Reid with 1st round and Simon with 3rd round before the stupid arrest.

EVERY other defensive player was at LSU for 4 years and had good draft grades with families to help support.

Ware and Ford wouldn't have been able to improve their draft grades much. Faulk spent the whole year on IR so he would have hurt his grade even more coming back. Or even ruined his career.

All of the early departures from this year were pretty much expected. And almost all of them have pretty good draft grades

Well for 1 LSU had a much better Junior class talent wise. Also setting your sights on 3 straight national titles has a lot of impact on your decision to stay I would assume. Let's see what happens to Alabama underclassmen now that winning a national title every year isn't on the table.

Why do that when we can just assume they're all staying for their senior year again, so we can bitch NOW?
