Political correctness costs Komen Foundation huge dollars.

Contributions drop almost to almost 3/4 of previous contributions after Komen decided not to fund Planned Parenthood, then reversing itself.
The question is, who stopped giving? Pro-Life advocates who don't want funding to go to a pro-choice organization, or liberal pro-choice advocates pissed at the organization?
Or both?

Good. Komen is a fraud. They spend hardly any of the donations on actual cancer research.

This is why I stopped donating to them
I try not to buy anything that has their logo on it.

They screwed themselves by having it known that they had taken a side in this wedge issue. They were going to lose funding either way. It will pick back up again, though, after a few more nfl pink seasons.

Probably both. During the controversy, whichever side was ticked off at them publicized their unsavory practices.
It would be incredibly stupid to cut them off if they don't fund PP. By that logic, no pro-choice person should ever give money to St. Judes or a disaster relief organization or a soup kitchen. If you want your money to go to PP, you can cut out the middleman and give directly to PP.

My family's business made a substantial contribution to Susan G. Komen every year but we cut off all ties. Their association with Planned Parenthood, previously unknown to us, was the primary reason we looked into the group further and didn't like what we discovered.
