Let's be frank. AU's defense is pretty much garbage. We're talking a Clemson type defense. If AU doesn't get pressure in some way on Winston, it's going to be a long night for AU because FSU will just kill the clock.

Imo, there's only two ways AU wins. The first is if FSU turns it over 2-3 times. And the second is if AU can get constant pressure on Winston.

Oh, I agree with all of this don't get me wrong. The point I was trying to make is while the DL will be paramount, a stop anyway we can get it will be huge or, as you said, going to be a long night. I think Ellis will call a pretty good game to confuse and get pressure on Winston. I also know he has been money against the blitz.

i would say +2 or 3 in turnover margin... our offense is not scared to give it up... we are pretty average in turnover margin.

Pressuring Winston hasn't worked for teams all year, he is very good against the blitz. I do like the set up of FSU's defense against Auburn's offense

Not really. I expect our defense to make a few stands wherein they look like a high end defense. I won't be surprised if FSU outscores AU in a high scoring game, but I will be surprised if FSU puts up a huge number in a game that isn't a shootout.

I'm interested to see what Gus has in store. I can't imagine he's going to deviate from what has worked, but scheming for Gus is a nightmare. People continue to act like this zone read with Marshall is his bread and butter as a coach. It isn't, it is just the aspect of the offense we were dominant with given Marshall's short prep time for the season. I expect we'll have something in store with an additional month of prep, although like I said, I can't imagine we're going to go in a totally different direction.

Keys for Auburn, IMO, are to get at least periodic pressure on Winston, avoid fumbles, and make FSU work for yards. I think they'll get yards, but limiting the easy ones will help give our D the opportunity to do what it does (tighten up in key spots) and help keep our shite together long enough to bring it to the wire.
