No different than posting a photo with a limit of rabbits.

The interesting thing to me is the terrain. I hunted Joyce WMA a few times and decided it's easier to hunt high ground. Hat's off to a good swamp hunter.

Neither here nor there to me but do keep in mind that these aren't deer he's fed are from a place with a fence around it. He actually "hunted" them.

I hunt in a pretty rough spot where every deer is a trophy. Possibly the same swamp he was hunting. I won't rag on anyone for legally shooting what they want, but I'm also damn sure not gonna shoot a 40# doe.

If that makes him happy, to him.

I saw that and all I could do was

I won't hate on him or the kill but posting it to show off is sad. I'm embarrassed for him

I strictly bow hunt on a small 100 acre tract of land and would be embarrassed at shooting those little deer.

Individual preference. If he is proud of them then post away. Like others say, we don't know the story. I personally believe that a hunter should be proud of just about any game he/she harvests.

y'all can kill what you want where you hunt, however, on the land we manage, a good bit of it is under the Texas MLD management program, and we place age restrictions on the bucks they harvest. We try to get them to let the deer up to 2.5 walk, and then 3.5 too. These deer have the genetics, and the food. What they lack for antler development is growing older. And the program works. On the management unit my lease is a part of, we have about 6000 acres under suck regulations. Last season, they did not kill a buck under 4.5. This season, there have been 10-12 (at least) bucks killed that qualify for Texas Big Game Awards (minimum 125) with 6-8 of them going over 135. We have clubs that have already filled their buck tags with only good mature deer and are still seeing deer as big or bigger than those they killed. They cannot wait for next season already. It has been, by far, the most successful season we have had.

On the lands not under MLD, they are required to go with the state's law of a 13" spread, unless it has at least one unbranched antler, and they can only take one buck with such a spread. This rule was put in place to allow younger basket rack bucks to get older, and it's working. Of course there are some older deer with 12" spreads, and depending on the GW you might not get ticketed for an older deer with a less that 13 sprea, because it doesn't violate "the spirit of the law"
