When bridged to .25 ohm it was more than enough.

The 40 watt was non bridged at 4 ohm

I have two Probox 10s under the rear seat of my silverado crew cab. It sounds great and the box fits perfect.

For what your wanting i think their one ten will do everybit of what you're wanting and then some.

Yes.. one decent 10" adequately powered will be more than enough.

I recommend the Infinity Perfect series subs..

10" should be fine. You'll also be fine running off the factory deck to an amp. I'm not familiar with F-150 and if it has a sub preout. May just have to tap into one of the other channels.

It's not gonna be competition quality or the best setup, but it will work fine.

^this
I had this exact setup in my old f-150 with a single JL Audio 10" sub and it sounded great

10" sub is too much bass in a car with factory highs & mids. Go with an 8"

Yeah I have one 10" sub under the back seat in my new f150. It's just enough to hear some good bass in music, but won't rattle everyone's Windows.

That's what made me think of just getting an 8"

I have a single 8" in my truck (non extended ab) and it is plenty. I'm sure it would be fine in an extended cab. Gives the music a nice touch

to be quite honest an 8" in a properly ported enclosure would be overkill using a factory head unit.
You'd have to turn the gain way down to keep the bass from overpowering the rest of the system.
I got a guy that can hook you up. He's a USACi world record holder here in town who builds custom ported enclosures.

Get a pro box with one 8. I have one with 1200w precision amp and Memphis highs. It's all you need.

I have one JL W6 10" in the back of my Tacoma and it's overkill. Will more than likely be going the one 8" in a ported enclosure route real soon.

If it were me, I'd go with one Digital Designs 2508c. With an 8", you'll be able to give it more airspace.

I have 1 10" JL sub in my truck and its plenty. You could even think about doing an 8" or a tube.

I got 6 13" speakers each on their own 1000 watt amp. Go big or go home.

10" is sub is plenty. You definitely want to upgrade your factory deck though. Crutchfield.com is a great site for car audio.
