I've heard nothing but good about these guns and I want one in 300wsm. How is the recoil for such a light gun?

If you are recoil sensitive I wouldn't recommend it without a brake. I love mine for hunting, but it isn't a gun I would enjoy taking to the range. After 3 or 4 shots I've had enough of it for a while.

I knew they were a Finnish based company but didn't know if Tikkas were made/assembled in the USA. Thanks!

Got a .22-250 and .308

My .22-250 is my goto rifle and favorite rifle

Probably one of my most prized possessions.

I've never shot a Tikka

Further, I have never shot a large caliber rifle.

Shooting a T3 in a magnum caliber has to be a miserable experience. With the factory recoil pad a .308 isn't fun.

Mine is the hunter version 270 wsm so it's a bit heavier than the synthetic version. I shot it back to back with my 30-06 rem 7400. I thought the 7400 had more recoil, and I've never thought it was too bad.

But it's all relative to what you're used to I suppose. I probably shot the tikka 12 times yesterday and not feeling it today.

Eta- I'm sure the synthetic 300wsm is a different animal lol.
