A faster Gurley is a good comparison imo

Fournette's unbelievably fast for how big he is. Dude has everything he could possibly need to be a dominating tailback. Everything.

After reading, I was going to mention this.

Fournette is like the chuck Norris of football.

Wow........ Can't wait to see this guy in P&G! And our line is going to be a beast while he's here! He could actually be one of those guys that plays both ways, really. I've seen him play saftey/LBer and he would be tops at any of those positions. Crazy!!! Def once in a lifetime recruit. That's just stupid that he isn't the consensus #1 by a mile. No way anyone has the career he does especially Crob...... He just doesn't have the attitude and maturity that LF does not close.

B, me and you hardly ever disagree but I just dont see it considering he is getting here in June. With the playbook and blitz assignments, I think it will take some time for him to adjust.

With speedy on the fence, you have to think he stays home with who we are going to have as headliners of the class. A running back who gets legitimate comparisons to Peterson and a receiver with the second best sparq rating ever is just absurd.

People think I'm crazy suggesting 1600 yard freshman season, but if he is the starter and can rack up around 225 carries, he can definitely go over that.

We definitely need to run him about 17 times a game. Fournette is also a dangerous receiver so he could go over 2000 from scrimmage in multiple years.

Fournette 17 carries
Magee 12 carries
Williams 6 carries
Jenings 6 carries.
Hilliard 5 carries

I doubt Hilliard came back to get 5 carries a game

That all depends on him. Ware and Ford knew they weren't going to get enough to mean anything which is why they left.

Miles could redshirt Williams, but that depends on injuries and how well Hilliard plays.

I watched the video in that link and it seemed that Marcus Dupree was pushing LF to linebacker. He said he would likely have a longer career and get paid more $$$ at the LB position. LF said he was 50/50 on whether to choose LB or RB. Is Les recruiting LF on whatever position he wants to play?

I saw that too. And it is a fact linebackers make more and have longer careers in the NFL.

Hoepfully Miles has not closed that door as a possibility if LF desires. Remember the Evil Empire originally wanted him as a LBer. A unique sell on their behalf would be "come and shock the world and become an All American LBer and number one pick in the NFL draft. Maximize your value with a longer career with more pay. You will be just as great as a LBer. Don't even consider our debth at RB, it is irellevant to you."

LF said in the video he is a better LBer and that he was 50/50 in playing the positions. Also agreed with Dupree that LBers make more, have longer careers and don't take the abuse of RBs. If I was on staff and saw the video I would at least make sure we were on the same page with LF and not just assume RB. We want LF the player. We can sell the LBer ticket to the NFL as well. Lets not get out flanked.

I'm pretty sure the staff will let LF play whichever position he wants at LSU.

Marcus is a big Bama fan, wouldn't surprise me if he brought this up on purpose.

1600/225 is 7.1 yards per carry.

1400 is a lot more realistic for a back who carries 225 times for LSU in 2014.

(And that would still be an incredible year.)

Hill registered 6.8 ypc this year and I'm pretty confident Fournette is better than him. Plus, our schedule is weak next year. It doesn't even matter because I can't see him not at least meet Gurley's production.
