got a job in TV and tried to be the new madden. unfortunately he wasn't a clown, just a dry analyst, and didn't reach the madden heights

Burnout. Walsh was a genius but he didn't have the insatiable desire for winning like a Phil Jackson, John Wooden, Alex Ferguson, Scotty Bowman.

I heard that he believed that you should not be at an organization for more than 10 years. More money makes more sense though.
