Y'all understand "depth charts" really don't mean anything. If there are 3 corners on the field Tre White and Rashard will be on the outside and Mills will be in the slot. The fact that LSU has a spot for FG return specialist shows you how serious they put together that depth chart.

This is basically for the game announcers Gruden and Tirico. Check out the sweet pronunciation chart.

Never mind, they definitely burnt the red shirt, but did he really participate in every game?

Any idea why Stephen Rivers never comes up as a competitor to start at QB? He appeared to look good in the few times I have seen him throw. Have I missed any articles that his development has been slow or anything?

Anthony Jennings was/is better as a true freshman than he has ever been in his three years, thats why

Dang, this might be the lightest LBcore that I have ever seen inPurp and Gold.

Maybe this is why they looked like they were getting blocked out of plays so easily this year? I hope that Garret will be able to help with that next season.

I know Chavis is all about having speed on defense, but I'd like to see a few bigger bodies on the roster, particularly at DE & LB, to help with stopping the run.

This is impossible. In the last week 25 retards on TD have written that Mills was passed by two freshman. That's right, a future NFL starting cornerback was passed by two freshman. Idiots!

Mills is still solid. A lot of people bitch about him, but he's a baller. Especially in man coverage schemes.

I agree. Statistically speaking he didn't have a bad year either with 61 tackles, 3 interceptions, 3 sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss.

I think he should either be in the slot or at Safety though. He has gotten beat plenty this year on the outside.

I see Melvin Jones listed as 3rd string FB, but I thought he was recruited as a LB?

Also, Besides Dural and Leslie, do we have any other WR on the team that's expected to make a splash next year?

Thanks for the response Wildtiger, but wonder why a 6'7" fellow with a brother in NFL never gets any print. Is it arm, inconsistent, mobility or what? And why would he stick around or improving?

It takes zero brains to play man. It takes a lot of brains to play the corner position in all schemes. RR has outstanding man capabilities, but that's only about a third of what it takes.

I agree, but these corners including Mills have not played zone very well and Mills does not seem to play man very well either as offenses target him. The zone they play allows the opposing QB to complete passes efficiently. When they have played in-your-face man-to-man, we were at least effective in denying the pass on one side of the field. They need to work on it during the spring, not during this Bowl game, IMO.

When playing man against Manziel, he completed 39% of his passes. Next, week when we went back to the zone, Allen completed his highest percent of his passes (65%) against us since the 1st game of the season against Louisian Lafayette.

The biggest weakness that I see in Mills' game is that he doesn't have great speed to stay with the faster receivers, and that leaves him susceptible to the deep ball.

In all other areas, he's a top-notch DB.

It's difficult to improve speed, but it can be done. Aside from that, he just has to try to be cognizant of when the offense is going to take their shots, and be razor-sharp with his footwork, so that he doesn't allow the receiver to get behind him.

Travin Dural 6'2 182 (I've now seen anywhere from 4.40-4.50) Our most complete WR in routes, size, speed, and agility. After being in his second year of Cam's system, he should be a 1000 yard receiver next year.

Kevin Spears 6'3 189 (I've seen 4.50) very athletic big framed WR who only played football his junior and senior years (was basketball player prior). Very good hands and has the leaping grab down packed. This is the one i'm truly excited for opposite Dural. He has a lot of potential.

Quantavius Leslie 6'4 175 (I've seen 4.42-4.45) Your big play guy. Don't know how good his hands are, but the guy is a burner. Can take the top off the defense and his YPC will be 19 or higher. Will be great in the endzone on jump passing. Still raw unless Cam has tweaked him, and boney.

John Diarse 6'0 207, He is just like Anquan Boldin. Physical possession receiver, running great routes and who will push the pile for extra yards. I can't truly project when he'll play, but a perfect #2 option and possibly your go to bail out guy.

Avery Peterson 6'2 189 (I've seen 4.42-4.44) Don't know what to say about him other than he is a pure WR. I think he could be the #1 on many teams and is the third fastest WR "on the roster". Honestly though, if we get Noil and Dupre, he needs to hurry back to the field immediately.

Trey Quinn 6'1 200 4.39 40, hands of glue, national high school record holder in yards (dude should be a 5 star). Think of a white Jarvis Landry, way faster, but not as shifty.

DJ. Chark 6'0 175, reminds me of Beckham. Not as fast, but a playmaker at WR and returner. Don't know if he sees the field with all the other talent though.

Desean Smith 6'4 241 TE, very good hands and is more of a receiving TE than a blocker, which is why he probably hasn't seen then field much.

Jacory Washington 6'5 225 TE, very athletic and should be as good a receiver as Smith considering he plays WR. Will need about 15lbs before he hits the field for a good amount of plays.

Tony Upchurch 6'2 230 WR/RB/TE, Dude could play a hybrid position and I'd much rather him be the next FB and move Jones back to LB. He is a load at RB TOO. On second thought, just rewatched his vid, if he hasn't lost his speed, would be a great WR/TE.

The only thing ive ever heard is that his accuracy needs a lot of work. And then he got passed by Jennings.

His height and relatives are pretty irrelevant. He was a project QB out of HS, its not a shock that hes likely to never see the field as a starter. Im sure he has considered transferring at this point but i have no clue if he will or not, best of luck to him either way
