Kind of coonass, but cream cheese spread on palate and topped with a home made cocktail sauce with lump crabmeat on top is damn good. Ritz crackers to scoop it up.

I have a crabmeat layered dip/spread in the recipe book similar to Gaston's, but with a few more ingredients.

Substitute cream cheese for mayo, and add old bay and you got a winnner

Here's my crawfish dip recipe. It can be made with crab. DO NOT add salt. I didn't submit the recipe with salt added. I don't know why they put it there.

8oz cream cheese
2 cans of crab meat
dollop or 2 of sour cream
hot sauce
slap ya mama
cheddar cheese
soften the cream cheese and add the drained crab meat in a pyrex dish. add a little hot sauce and slap ya mama; obviously don't go overboard with either.. this ain't a buffalo dip. add just enough sour cream to make it spreadable in the bottom of the dish and then put the grated cheddar on top.. preheat oven at 350; cook for 30 mins..
serve with tortilla chips or whatever else you might enjoy..

I'm actually going to buy some can crabmeat in a little bit.
I bought some canned chicken last week for buffalo chicken dip and was pleasantly surprised.
