I saw a billboard in Monroe with the ULM logo on it and it immediately made me think of this WW2 German Luftwaffe radio operator's badge. Definitely pretty close in comparison.

What about this logo used for the US AFA throughout the 80s and 90s?

So, first they were offending Native Americans and now they're infringing on Nazi copyrights?!? These bastards have to be stopped!

Because I love WW2 history for starters and am fairly well read on the subject.

Not for any one with even a passing interest in WWII.

What are some things that interest you? I would bet that you tend to know more about things that you are interested in than say someone that has no interest in the same topic. That is just human nature.

I had never seen this old USAF logo before. It makes sense though. Our jet and space programs was born largely on the backs of Nazi scientists that came to the US after WW2, scientists like Werner Von Braun among others.

I mean I get it. I actually like history too, but I know I wouldn't remember a badge a radio operator wore, even if I had seen it before. But hey, I don't have the best memory. I also probably don't read nearly as much as you. I'm also not trying to be a dick.
