Rarely plays two tough opponents in a row. Last time he did, he lost to Aggie.
There are many that can compete with him.

that's clearly ridiculous, but they have lost a game in Nov the last 3 years. Twice they got the breaks they needed, this year his luck in that regard ran out. Overall its hard to argue that Alabama isn't the best team but they and Saban are not infallible.

Mahlzan did it this year (and sort of in 2010) but both of those can be attributed to fluke experiences.

In 7 seasons at Alabama he won the West 3 times, there are coaches who will consistently challenge him.

Tommy Tubberville had some success against Saban if my memory is correct.

Les Miles has consistently challenged Nick. Coached himself out of a win last year and we royally screwed ourselves early with turnovers this year. Should have been 17-3 most of the first half.
Miles competes evenly with Saban. With the attrition on defense and the new crop of hungry talent behind the starters, we should be back in the top 10 of defenses.

If LSU beats Alabama next year, then Les is right there with Saban/Alabama.
It is definitely a possibility.

Gus, Sumlin, Miles, Meyer

It just so happens that wherever he is, that team is "up".

Geez. Sure he's a great coach, but it's taken every bit of luck Saban can muster to have this run. Nothing lasts forever, and this shite runs in cycles. Saban is not going to be there for another decade, and he's not going to have the success he had these last four years. Next year is a rebuilding year for them with a new QB who has looked extremely shaky in his limited action so far.
tl;dr version. Stay calm, the Saban dynasty is mostly smoke and mirrors.
LOL you dumb
Bama was extremely unlucky this year to not be in the title game. They could have blown the Auburn game and still gotten there, if it weren't for the miracle AU got against Georgia. Basically, it was two miracles that kept them out.

The fact that ive seen Jordan Jefferson be able to beat Nicky, makes me believe Les will have his day again with nick as well. Anthony Jennings is the perfect QB that usually gives Saban defenses fits.

les is too crazy/loopy to be intimidated by nick which definitely puts him in the conversation

One of these is not like the other.

I saw Urban on here, and as an Ohio State fan I believe that he can not compete with Saban. I really wish he would have left and gone to Texas. Saban would just be playing real-life NCAA Dynasty mode.

consistently challenge and beat Saban
Depends what your definition of consistently is. There probably isn't a program or coach that is going to go 4-1 over 5 years against him. I do think that Miles and Gus are capable of going 3-2 over 5 years though. Gus has matched up against Saban 4 times, gone 2-2 with 3 epic games and 1 blowout.

In 2008, Meyer and Saban battled to see whose team would play for MNC. Meyer won.
In 2009, they did the same thing. Saban won (and Florida had 10x the penalty yardage of Bama).
In 2010, the wheels fell off for Meyer and he lost to Saban, along with several other coaches.
I really think people exaggerate Saban's 'ownage' of Meyer.
Now, was Meyer self-destructing, alongside Saban rapidly build a juggernaut? Of course. But acting as if Nick Saban now entirely and 100% owns Urban Meyer is a huge leap. I would have loved to see the two teams play this bowl season.

You LSU/Miles homers are hilarious. No one puts Les Miles in the same league as Saban.
I think a program like Texas would prefer an up and comer over Miles.
