Mack Brown will resign as coach of Texas on Saturday, sources close to the situation told the Lonhorn Network.

Brown has informed his team he will resign, sources said.

Brown will stay to coach the Longhorns' bowl game.

If true, Mack just sabotaged the Saban deal.
It wouldn't surprise me if this was his objective all along. He knew it was over for him but do whatever it took to keep Saban out of Texas.

Well, he just fricked UT good.

Pretends to fight for his job long enough to make sure they don't get CNS, then after he's snug and secure at home, resign.

Who needs whiteout. Saban's contract doesn't have a butout. He can leave tomorrow.

One of two things will either happen

A) Saban signs for 10 mil a yr and bama has an epic meltdown
B) Saban decides to keep to his word for once and UT hires the original Brown replacement, Muschamp, for about 1/3 of Mack's salary

There is no way Saban goes anywhere after the stuff he's said in the last 24 hours.
