The thing I find the funniest about all of this is the Bama fans that try to state that even if Saban does leave it will be all "thanks for the championships and good luck, we will be fine and continue on Alabama football." My question is this......do you truly expect to continue on as good as with Saban at the helm? Two words....Sean Payton...how did it work for the Saints without him? Kirby Smart will not have the team playing the same. And if anyone truly believes that the defense is HIS and not Saban's is a complete and utter moron.

Also, Chicken doesn't troll on this site. It's really a key piece everyone is overlooking. He has banned and whacked many LSU and other fan base threads regarding Saban in the past. The fact he is allowing this one to stay means one of his UT connections is telling him they are recruiting Saban hard.

I don't trust whoever the frick is the admin of some Bama site over any other random poster. But I have the ability for objectivity. Many people like you are actually lacking this ability when it comes to anything involving Saban or Bama.

No, of course not. That doesn't mean we won't still be one of the best teams in the country. We very well still could be elite.

I felt the same when he left LSU for Miami, wished him luck and was happy for him and that he left LSU far better than when he arrived.

Big Cigar: The one thing everyone needs to remember is that the University of Texas won’t go one minute with the head coach position being vacant. In other words, Mack won’t announce he’s stepping down until they’ve got a head coach signed, sealed and delivered to step right in. As soon as you hear Mack is announcing, know that the new head coach has already been signed. The longer that goes the less likely the replacement is Nick Saban. So to answer your question, think about the buyout being in place. If he’s bought out already, I would say they’re comfortable with who the next hire is.
