Yes they did. It was about 70/30 Iowa.

Ticket sales to any non-BCS Bowl this year would be slow. LSU fans have been to Dallas quite a bit lately. No one wants to go back to Atlanta. Florida bowls are farther away and more expensive.

Add the fact LSU fans aren't happy the last two years and you have the making of slow ticket sales.
The LSU fan base in general are not happy campers. And I'm not talking about the Rant fan base of junior high, senior high and college student message board geeks that proliferate on here. I'm talking about the the legitimate base of fans and alums with jobs, wifes and real lifes.

What with the dominance of Alabama and the sudden rise of Auburn, most everybody is fed up with the mediocrity of #3 in the SEC West, Chicken and Outback Bowls, 3 loss seasons, having to witness losing to vastly inferior teams, (Black Bears) miracles to beat other vastly inferior teams (Took a lucky JennSwag produced miracle to beat god awful R-Kansas in the finale) and watching regression or no improvement during the season.

Most of us are just fed up with this crape' and are not excited about the program because we know exactly who is in charge and exactly what the situation is that we presently find ourselves. There's great recruiting every year and then poor development and management of those recruits once they reach campus. We know where the problems are.

No reason for optimism until Les continues to show us that he'll make the necessary staff changes that will lead to an improvement in coaching that is sorely lacking at some positions.

Camerban was a great (And totally necessary) start, but at minimum there needs to be at least one new coach on offense and one on defense. Most of us know at what positions those are. (Mawae and Cooper Rx's would be just what the doctor ordered)

Improve (Publish) or perish. So until we see those assistant coaching changes and it translates to wins on the field, the real LSU fan base will remain lethargic and unexcited.

False. Please don't refer to miserable fricks like you as "us" or the majority. We're not all as pathetic as you are. Some of us have perspective as well. I, for one, am excited about the program's future and anyone with half a brain would be too. But, by all means, enjoy never being happy ever.

and to all you bums hating on the state of Iowa, it's actually a pretty decent place overall. Iowa City is a cool college town with a great bar and music scene. It beats Baton Rouge on several levels and most other SEC towns as well. Des Moines is more vibrant than you would expect and among one of the cleanest cities I've been to.

You say this, but the lsu fans that are happy with the program have some seriously messed up perspective. Its usually the ones that think getting 10 wins is some huge accomplishment since it hasnt been done very often until recently.

You are full of it. I was there. Iowa had only a few more fans than we did that year.

You need to worry about your pathetic Longhorns than our LSU fan base traveling to a bowl game. LSU fans will make the trip. So get over yourself.

i would 100% go to Dallas as would many LSU fans living in Texas. But it would be really expensive to go to Tampa so I'm sitting this one out. It's really as simple as that.

I can be disappointed in the last 2 seasons and still be happy with the current state of the program and its future. The two can be mutually exclusive. Plus, if you don't see the bright future in what we have now and what we have coming in, then I'm not sure what to tell you.

I'm not gonna hang my hat and be 100% satisfied just because we get 10 wins because that would stupid. Obviously the goal every year is to win the SEC, but that can't happen every year. Being happy with a 10-win season doesn't make me delusional or OK with mediocrity or however you want to spin it. Not every 10-win season is the same FWIW. Not everything is black and white and you have to take a step back at times and take account. It's good to be an LSU fan.

Hey dumbass, I was there too. Iowa had more than just "a few more" fans than we did. And for the record, I'm as much a Tiger fan as I am a Texas fan. I have degrees from both schools, whereas it sounds like you barely made it out of high school. GFY!

I don't know. Seat allocations for season ticket holders have not been posted yet.

Iowa had more fans, but had over a two week head start on getting tickets. We did not know until a few days before the announcement where we would be going...the cards were not in place.

We gobbled up all 17000 plus tickets immediately. Demand was so much for the game that they added 2500 temporary seats in the end zone, which went to lsu.

The message is clear...before we were excited to go to the bowl games and now we are too stuck up unless it's the marquee matchup. Now lsu is begging you to buy tickets to bowl games...ouch.

I don't go to bowls to see the matchup, I go to celebrate the end of the season. I go as an alum spend time doing a mini vacation while supporting and thanking the program that had worked their arse off all year. The bowl and events is their reward.

The only way to humble lsu fans is for the program to go into the toilet like what has happened at Tennessee.

And what is your approximate TAF ranking? I have a pretty decent ranking, but fully expect I'd have been in the nosebleeds. I've yet to get decent seats to an away game, even the so-called Neutral Site games, where we always seem to find out most of the premium seats go to some local group that we weren't told about when placing our order.

Section 146 is best available; endzone right in front of the pirate ship. $90 each (including $10 "convenience" fee).

Where do you find the opportunity to select best available? On the LSU Sports website, it just automatically assigns seats to me in a section starting with the number 3, like in the upper deck

There is not a selection of a specific section through the LSU site. On Monday the best was sec 146 and 147, last night it was sec 231 and then 245. Now seems to be 300 level.

Assume they are filling them with the "best possible"

I bought mine from ticketmaster on Monday and got sec 230

I'm a big Tiger fan but I couldn't care less about this game. I'll watch it, but no enthusiasm here.

So I doubt our fans will travel well and I suspect our team will be lethargic in the game.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if we lose - we just don't care about this one.

Haven't really made my mind up if I want to go or not, but if I do, I will just buy a ticket outside the stadium for like $20.
