Question.....why do people just assume DW Will commit to us. Not to be negative but if. I were him and got slow played by thhe staff, i would feel some type of way. Like the staff didnt want DW based on his field production but based on number of spots in the class. Spot frees up=staff full court press. Thats bullshite ..

I wonder if they tried to make his offer a grey shirt. A lot of new names have popped up lately. But anyway, i was happy when he committed. Best of luck to you young man. I hope that you have a great career.

Why would he decommit from ASU then?

Man, I think you hit in on the head. No way did we NOT want him. But Sione sat down and saw that no way around it, LF is the man here. That's just gonna be the case. And we run a power, in between the tackles kind of run game. He may get a few touches a game as a change of pace, but within 2 years you have Brossette, LF, Guice, Boo...it's just tough. OSU has a powerful offense and are spread and let him use his natural ability to his advantage.
Congrats to you Boo. Hope he tears it up, which I'm sure he will
And by the way, I hope WHEN he does tear it up. people don't come back bitching about how we royally screwed up (AKA Seastrunk). Sometimes both parties benefit to go elsewhere, it CAN happen
Great post.
And look luck Boo.

Pretty sure Darrel's offer just got solidified as a running back only
Stay tuned for a commitment

Because he was interested in LSU and Tennessee more.

Things just happen sometimes. We wanted him as an athlete and him basically audition for his role, he didn't want that (Or so I understand). And coming into the season we legit thought we were gonna have several guys back...now we don't and we needed another RB. We offered him before the Boo stuff, so DW and Boo don't seem to have much to do with each other, imo.
Also, at the end of the day, recruiting is like the NFL...it's a business. Coaches gotta do whats best for them and their university, likewise for the player. The coaches are constantly evaluating and moving prospects up and down the board. The coaches could have told him to have a good senior season and he'll have an offer...not a slow play as much as a "prove it" type of thing. LSU is a few miles away, chance to play with all the other Nola guys, and play in the SEC. At the end of the day, no matter how bitter you get at times, cooler heads prevail most the time.

Magee 5'9" 214 lb.
Sione 5'9" 200 lb.
Not much difference here
Magee's toughness wa a big surprise to me this year. At the same time, he is over 210lbs so he is just a very solid short guy at RB.
I am not holding my breath for another guy at that height to be as tough as Magee in the near future. I love the way he hits holes at full speed. Our other guys on't always do that.

I am going to go ahead and say it, this is BS. This recruiting cycle has been full of disappoint. For every BH, TQ, and EP, there has been CRob, Hootie, DQ (decommit), and now Sione (decommit). When are they going to understand that this is going to be the best LSU recruiting class ever and it's all for us, the fans.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it...
Who cares? We have better players to replace him with, and he chose a situation that was best for him. Some people don't like competition. Good luck to him at Okie Lite.. but lets move on now.
