Hypothetically speaking, how much would UT offer Saban?

This is not a flame, nor is it another "I hope he gone" post.
I'm genuinely curious, how much does the SECR think Texas would have to cough up to be a legitimate option for Saban?
And don't give me "there is no amount of money," everything has a price.
Sorry if this has been discussed at length. I searched but did not find.

I would imagine in the 7.5-8.5 million$ range. The NFL offers that type of cash to guys like Chip Kelly.

12 Million it's already in the works. It is what Luke was talking about in his thread last night...WOW

They could offer him 10 and Alabama would match it. They could offer him 15 and Alabama would match it. Yes, Texas has more money but football means a lot more to UA than it does to UT. He's not leaving but if he did it wouldn't be because of money.

Not about the money. Paul Bryant Jr. would match anything the horns would offer. And believe me, he can.

just ask @TerrySaban what they would be comfortable accepting

I think this is reaching, even for Bama.

Wasn't there a thread earlier that said 10 million was on the table?

Alabama has been $20+ million in the black for every year Saban has been here. It would definitely eat into the piggy bank, but they could do it.

I think they'd have to go as high as 10 million

I agree with this.
I'm no Bama fan, but people need to stop acting like Alabama is just going to let their money train of a head football coach just walk out the door without a fight.
These are the same people who practically invented the practice of giving players paper bags full of money, the concept of the do-nothing summer job, and countless other shady practices. These people kill trees and each other over losses.
Y'all are kiddin yourselves if you think Texss gives half the shite about football as Alabama does.

Saban at UTX would have more lucrative opportunities for corporate speaking and endorsements ---e.g dell computer & other big companies
Alabama-- the state--has one Fortune 500 company HQ
the 10M/12M type of dollar figures in base salary could cause some academic backlash at UTX...

The boosters know that Coach Saban's impact has been much deeper than simply the football program. Hell, the enrollment at the school has increased by nearly fifty percent in seven years. The positive overall economic impact is widely recognized as the best reason to ante up, even if it is eight figures annually.

Not hypothetical.
Apparently, it's 10M a year for the next 4. What my Tx friends told me.

I don't actually believe he's going anywhere. But I also don't think it's as absurd a notion as some do.
FTR, Bammers a salary spike will happen. Just a matter of how much Tejas offers him.
