Backdoor gun control-EPA closing US only lead smelter....

Per yahoo article citing the Huffington post.
"Former Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) accused President Barack Obama and the Environmental Protection Agency of advancing “back door gun control … while we are all distracted with Obamacare and Iran nuclear negotiations” in an editorial on his website Sunday.
Citing this month's closure of the nation's last primary lead smelter in Herculaneum, Mo., West argues that in an effort to advance gun control, the Obama administration’s "new extremely tight air quality restrictions" have led to the end of lead as the primary metal in bullets -- making ammunition much more expensive and less accessible."
Another run on ammo?

I know someone who worked for that plant...He said 95% of the lead they produced was for Car Batteries...
Said by 2015 car batteries will be $350 Ea. because of this...said it should not affect ammo prices, unless the fear mongers make things up and people run with it...

I'm so fed up with this administration regardless if this is true or not.

The EPA has waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy too much power.

Google lists several articles, including from bullet mfrs, saying it will have zero effect on ammo, but the OBt never lets truth get in the way of fear mongering. Freeeedumb!

I asked a question, not fear mongering.

I understood what you were saying...you have every right to ask these questions...
IMO It's the OB "Freedumb pacifists" that are the problem.

Obama's all out assualt on the US economy continues.

This really isn't that big of a deal. Ammo manufactures use recycled lead. Plenty of places to get recycled lead in the US still.

I been saying this for a while now. The govt. can't come and physically take your guns, it wouldn't be feasable. But they can make it to where you can't get bullets or can't afford them. A gun is useless without a bullet

Edit:
I'm 21 years old and have pondered this idea for two years now
