It was the year he accepted a job with Kiffen at Tennessee to be the DL coach.

There's plenty of good recruiters on staff, Brick Haley being one of them.

I don't disagree, but there have been rumblings that Haley might want to head back to the NFL, which is why I posited the scenario of extending an offer to Ed O. in the first place. Trust me, I'm not knocking Haley at all.

Brick Haley is one of the best DL corches in the country and is probably our 2nd best recruiter within the assistants. Why do you want Ed O?

If Haley goes, I would have no problem with Ed O as our DL coach.

The guy can flat out recruit and he is an excellent DL coach.

if sarkisian goes to USC, who would be his D-Coord?

seems Ed O would fit in nicely, unless he gets a HC gig somewhere at a small school. He may not even want that at this point though.

Ed resigned. Rumor is that Sark is taking his UW staff with him

Well, yeah, I mean there was no way he was going to stay on after lobbying for the job and not getting it.

Once Saban goes to Texas, Ed O will follow Kiffin to Alabama after Lane fails upwards yet again.

I say pay him what he wants and get him here. We don't want him working for another SEC school. They guy has Louisiana and California creds. He would be an asset.

This.

We've already had our share of cavemen on the LSU campus. His name was Curley Hallman.
