Over the Saban and Miles years, almost all of the QBs have been from out of state.

Yup, and don't forget Jamie Howard.
Although the OP does make sense since Kevin Faulk's time, so that was a good call by whoever said it.

But you didn't read my first post...notice any pattern in the names I listed....mostly from North Louisiana...and many didn't play for LSU for a reason....the demographics and population make-up has changed because of the social issues in Louisiana...the good DNA left the state for a good reason...but don't dare speak of the truth...PC rules the world of cowards and fools!

la very rarely produces a great qbs when compared to the other positions.

Marcus randall, josh booty, Jefferson, perrilloux. Now they weren't great but Ryan perrilloux had a chance to be very, very good. But the state does produce qbs hell look at Kordell Stewart, Bert Jones,Patrick Ramsey, hell Rayville high produced qbs, evangel high, Robert lane neville the kids can play just got be coached up.

This is only a recent phenomenon....you guys are too intellectually lazy to do any research on anything that is not right in your face...pitiful!

Exactly. Even Kendell Beckwith play a lot of QB. He may have even been their starter.

He's just asking why there hasn't been many **** and ***** QBs in Louisiana lately

Name one 5 star Louisiana Quarterback that LSU has missed out on recently?

I dont think the QB talent left the state, its a mixture of what's already been said. Passers take time to develop, most HS's arent going to put that time into a qb prospect and look for the running qbs, so the pocket passer types are steered towards playing baseball instead. Only a handful of high schools are airing it out every year, and those are the schools that draw and develop the pocket passers like Evangel in the past.

Not from LA, but Zach Lee is a prime example of a great QB choosing baseball instead. It just happens sooner with most high school QBs, they make the switch earlier and focus more on baseball. I blame all the little league farm teams for over-exposing kids to baseball instead of football.

Zach lee was from Texas. But they brought in zach mettenberger.

This subject is not allowed on here...there are too many sensitive nellies who are not anywhere rear capable of comprehending the total picture...I have written and debated plenty on the subject...but you have to first have some education on the subject and a willingness to understand it. Most on here have their own little closed-minded agenda to run up the flagpole and show their lack of knowledge and historical perspective. I have personally lived in and participated in the changes that I speak of...so what I suggest is that if you want to know the answer, open your eyes and mind to what's going on in your state. The Buddha said 2500 yrs. ago, "When the student is ready, the maestro appears."

My $.02. It may have been going on for years, but the success of Kevin Faulk at Carencro at QB encouraged other LA HS coaches to put their best athlete at QB. The pure qbs coming out of LA either went elsewhere or were too raw to spend time developing once they got to college.
This is the answer.
this was a scheme LONG before Kevin Faulk....
try LSU's first 1000 yard rusher Terry Robiskie... among others...
