LSU A&M Future Games/Dates/TV Coverage

Have they mentioned who will televise the A&M/LSU Turkey Night game next year? If it's CBS then I have no further questions. If it is ESPN, I have to state/ask the following:
I have never been a conspiracy/insert name hates LSU/fire Alleva kind of guy. However, having said that and assuming it is an ESPN game, how is it that CBS was willing to give up a marquee game so A&M could continue its Turkey Day tradition, while LSU just has to deal with it and submit to CBS's likely mandate to move the 2015 game to Friday and a daytime start? A&M seemingly got this done on their lunch break...why could LSU not do the same and get the game when they want it when it's played in Baton Rouge? And I'm not looking to turn this into a day game vs night game thing...just pointing out how easy this seemed to be for A&M to get this done. The only time I ever saw LSU sort of be appeased was the agreement to move the 2012 Bama game to 7 pm. But that was only because the 2011 game at Bama was also moved.
I will say I think the Thanksgiving night game will almost certainly be on ESPN because i don't see CBS wanting to go up against the NFL game on NBC.

Hopefully abc or nbc (I know they do NFL) maybe they would try something different and put NFL on the day after or the day before? or even earlier?

Because A&M lost, they have to play on Saturday next year. Tough break for them.

One thing you can bet on. The A&M-LSU game will not be played on a Saturday anywhere. Miles has said more than once he liked the Friday afterenoon game versus Arkie, that he liked playing on FRiday afternoons after T'giving.

Yeah, i know nothing official, but my post is really based more around the likelihood that ESPN televises it. I mean, we've heard for years (and i completely understand) that the networks dictate when you play, money talks, when you're good they want you in the most popular slots, etc etc. And i accept that. But if CBS gives up the game for ESPN, it totally flies in the face of those statements.

ABC and NBC have no affiliation with the SEC...

I'd have to think it will be on ESPN.

What channel is the Egg Bowl this year?
That's the game that's on Turkey Day.

where were you the 2 weeks after the agreement was announced? this got rehashed 1000 times.

This answers your question.
Fox, CBS, and NBC will be televising NFL games. That leaves what network? Not ABC either.

The fact that Alleva got run over on this is a fireable offense. We are a charter member they are new to the conference this is their tradition and now we are going to have to wait to use a bye week till the second to last saturday of the season so our fans and players have to leave their families on thanksgiving to play a cult of gays at their place. All this after getting screwed on bowls and bridge schedules.

CBS's NFL game is either at 11:30 or 3:30. They could conceivably televise the night game, however, as i mentioned i don't think they will because i doubt they would go up against the NFL. As i said, i fully expect ESPN to televise it. i'm primarily questioning CBS's willingness to just let this game go to let A&M have their traditional game.

What do you mean "let it go"?
I mean, CBS does not set the team schedule. Also, I'm pretty sure that CBS gets to pick what game they want for Saturday - other days of the week are open.

What i mean is, as primary provider of SEC telecasts, i'm pretty certain they were among the first people consulted when A&M wanted to move this game. i would think (at least at this time) that they would want that game as either their Friday or Saturday games of the week. Moving the game to Thursday precludes that.

why could LSU not do the same and get the game when they want it when it's played in Baton Rouge?
Our fans really should stop thinking that the SEC shows preferential treatment to other schools over LSU. It's absurd and childish.
There is a series of contracts the SEC has signed that make LSU's Saturday night preference impossible to satisfy. That same series of contracts makes A&M's Thanksgiving preference not only possible, but preferable (more time slots filled with SEC games).

Yeah, but the SEC Network comes into play next year, so CBS now has a voice in the room, but that voice is getting softer and softer.

How are they not related? Both are requesting games played NOT in the preferred network timeframe.

Perhaps.

Not asking for whenever they want. i'm saying a once every couple of years thing...just like A&M is getting.
