Saturday's dominance shows this is still Les Miles' neighborhood

Here are the finer points of the column written by Ross Dellenger of the ADVOCATE.
LINK
“It ain’t worth getting rid of him,” said ESPN radio and TV host Scott Van Pelt, who offered an outsider’s perspective on the Miles hate.
Van Pelt sees LSU as a house in the nicest neighborhood in town: a two-story abode with a lush, green yard, in-ground pool and a garden.
It’s just as nice, and mostly nicer, than any other house, aside from one.
As a homeowner, Miles has the unfortunate location of being direct neighbors with the best place in town, a sprawling mansion just a few feet away.
Nick Saban owns that house.
“You’ve got this neighbor you kind of compete with,” said Van Pelt, who was in Baton Rouge on Friday for a live airing of his radio show from the LSU parade grounds. “And in the last couple of years, they’ve upgraded their kitchen and they’ve built a deck and so you’re looking at their house. We don’t look back at others whose houses ours are nicer than. We only look at people whose houses are nicer.
“My long-winded, round-about anecdote is I would appreciate the house I’m in, and I wouldn’t go trying to hire somebody to redo it because you might not end up with as nice a house.”

they have the mind of children

And their house has carpet with matted dog feces in it that they refuse to get rid of yet they want it gone too but don't know how to get rid of it.

At this point, I find the "Les is the best" posi-Tiger posts to be more annoying than the "fire Les" nega-Tiger posts. Congrats, you've tipped the scales.

It's a "what have you done for me lately" world we live in. Miles team just dominated the best offense in the SEC and one of the best in the nation. If it weren't for a shank and a slip, A&M would be shutout. If Copeland don't fumble against Bama, who knows what happens.

There is no guarantee that we could get someone better. In fact odds are we would take a step back. We have program stability and Les has proven he can run a successful program. He makes changes (sometimes slowly I know) if needed.
People who go nuts on these messageboards bitching and whining excessively are either losers from other programs who actually are impersonating LSU fans or they are true LSU fans who are too stupid to see they are cutting their own throats.

Miles should not be fired. I think the disheartening thing is we can always predict the issues that are solely on Miles that don't get better: time management, penalties, lack of motivation in certain games. I don't want Miles to leave I just want him to improve on the areas that can be improved upon. He's done it by hiring Cam and Chavis in the past, but now it's time for some more development.

Me too. However, Copelands fumble against Alabama is on Copeland. Then you have the people that say "why didn't Hill get the ball in that situation". There will always be questions on why he did this and did that. Every coach goes thru that with their respectable fanbases.

SVP always impresses me with his analogies

Mansion guy gets yard of the year every year from the HOA.
LSU yard comes in second ... except somehow finish third or fourth inexplicably ... behind the red & blue trailer house down the street with pink flamingos and Confederate flags in the windows.
Pisses them off even more about Mansion guy.

I am very satisfied with just competing. As long as we finish at least somewhere in the middle of the SEC pack that's plenty good enough.

Anyone who think's Copeland's fumble lost the Alabama game needs their head checked, or a moron's guide to football

Agree 100%. That fumble isn't even worth discussing...unless there are people out there who didn't watch any of the 2nd half.

mie2cents you're right. You can tell a Miles hater when they make ridiculous comments like motion penalties are Miles' fault. Is pass interference Miles' fault? Does Miles get the credit when ODB Jr makes a great move, evades a defender and makes a big first down?
This beat down of the Aggies really upsets the Miles haters doesn't it?

And what will everyone say if we beat Arkie by a point, or god forbid lose to the piggies?

Probably the same stuff we hear after every game, win or lose.

I'm dont' think it will happen, just saying it will be another let's lynch Miles day.
