Not really complaining....as McGee and the others are doing a solid job. But, it sure seems like Hill gets in and does his thing, and then he's out for about half the game. Is he hurt or something?

preserving Hill for his NFL career and getting Magee experience for next year
Magee has ran better the past 2 games as well, as Hill has been trying to bounce too much outside

IDK, its a little mind boggling how everyone here says he's a 100% gone to NFL and he doesnt even lead his own team in carries.
I dont get it either.

Because LSU has been selling (and more importantly recruits have absolutely been loving) that all LSU running backs play, play is merit based at that position at LSU (meaning the share of carries is determined by production), and that LSU doesn't beat the tread off your tires like Alabama does so you can have a longer pro career.
Every time recruiting gurus are on the radio or Frank Wilson etc., they pimp that line. That's what LSU is using on the trail and the results have been amazing. No need to change it now.

Keeping it fresh at that position

1.) He isn't finding the holes well, bouncing around too much.
2.) Magee just looks better right now
3.) Magee is being rewarded for having a good spring, good season and well, not getting into trouble.

Did you see McGee run? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. We beat A&M by 24 points. Whatever Miles did, it worked. Why even question it?

I wondered the same thing about Tommy Banks.

Magee was more effective quite simply

we put up over 300 yards on the ground and you are complaining about a players carries.
if we got <100 I got you but we put up major yards on aTm

What do you mean?
Hill has 155 attempts on the year - the closest to him is Magee with 72, followed by Hilliard at 67, and Blue with 62.
Hill is 6th in the SEC in attempts, 3rd in yards, tied for the league lead in average, and 2nd in rushing TD's.
LSU also has other great backs that need to get runs and who will also be around next year.

He lead the team in carries Sat.
When the other RBs are running well, its kind of an addition by subtraction effect.

Brisket, Pet Players, Fumbling in Practice, Keiland treatment, etc., etc. Isn't it perfectly clear?

Hill played a good game, but Magee had the hot hand and played a better game. They also got Hilliard and blue some carries which keeps everyone happy and feeling like contributors. Heard hill did get a nicked a little though. Coaches did the right thing by going with the hot hand.

We rush for 324 yards and people complain about RB personnel decisions
If that isn't retardation i don't know what is.

It's called "I am headed to the pros and don't want to run over anyone or get hurt"
I noticed this last year with a lot of our players...playing softer when the seasons bid for a championship ended.
Watch closely and you will see them avoiding unnecessary contact.
Part of the modern game now.

Because Les Miles wanted to give people something to bitch about the week following a blowout win over a traditional rival.
You're welcome.
