What can LSU do to help Tiger Stadium compete with the HD TV/living room?

Let's help LSU out with some ideas.
I'll start.
1. Eliminate the paid parking for the interior sections of campus. I've seen numerous empty spaces (between Howe-Russell and the Physics Building) every game. Parking is just too inconvenient and people don't want to walk over a mile before and after to watch LSU play Furman.
2. Find a way to increase smartphone service so that everyone can use their smartphones throughout the game. I like to follow scores on ESPN's app during games.
3. Entertainment/contests during tv timeouts.
4. Serious improvements to replays. Show replays more than once for great plays and plays that are controversial and/or require a review.
5. During halftime - if another big time game is on at the same time show it on the video board.
6. Let the cheerleaders lead the stadium more often in the "geaux tigers" or "LSU" around the stadium cheers to get the crowd going.
7. Stop using the same video/music routine every game. Mix it up. The only things that should not be tampered with are Mike the Tiger and Pregame (except - reduce the alma-mater back to one verse and reintroduce Tiger Rag).
What say you? Try to make your suggestions constructive. Don't just complain.
I'll forward a link to this thread to Alleva.

I knew that would be the first suggestion.
But really, there is no good reason not to, and I don't even drink.

LSU Fans need to get off their lazy asses and support the Football Team.

1 and 2 are legit.
The others are not.

With the increase in seats next year, what is changing about parking?

DO NOT PLAY THAT GOD-AWFUL SONG - "I'm from Louis-ana, I'm from Louis-ana!"

It's a strategy to build in state pride for the recruits. It isn't going anywhere.

1.Wifi but probably won't happen soon. They had one company quote $7M for the project and then gave a 60% chance it would even work. Old stadium, lot of concrete
2.give fans what they want from big tv/hd. Replays, other significant game highlights/updated during commercials.
3. Beer would be nice but must price it to a level of you can't get drunk off of tiger stadium beer without a bank roll. You know hoping everybody that wants beer only drinks 1-3. And or cutoff after first 5 min of 3rd quarter.
4.Parking is the root of the traffic issue. Charge $10 for everyone exc parking pass holders at the gated of campus instead of having free vs $40 parking. Use campus at grsi and bus people into campus and bus doesn't have to wait in traffic meaning they are given priority.
My thoughts

Not much, because it ought to be an entirely different experience. For my money, I much prefer being at the game, regardless of whether or not I can get cell service or the like as compared to the show I get when watching on TV. I always find it funny how differently I feel about a game from having been there and then rewatching the recorded game. It is almost ALWAYS different...and almost never in a good way for me.
Be that as it may, I do agree that cell service would be great. Not interested in contests or anything personally. The video board has become a bit of a travesty in comparison to most of our SEC brethren, so that's a good call.
But honestly...I love what we do and I'd hate to think we'd need to gimmick up the experience to get people there or keep them there once they are.

I hate the song...but you know who seems to like it? The young guys in P&G about to go down and frick up some returner's world.
So...I'm good with it.

Serve beer
Fix traffic flow
Have tailgate parking on campus
Lower prices on tickets and concessions
The experience has lost its intimacy. It feels like a corporate event. I also think that we are spoiled due to our winning lately. With higher expectations, every game has to be perfect to make our fan base happy.

What about the out-of-state recruits? Texas? Florida?
How does it make them feel?

I agree with all of that.
Make food options better. Add restaurants to concession menus like other schools. We don't need 4 types of shitty hot dogs or boiled burgers.
If you won't add concourse area to the sidelines then add lighting going up the ramps to make it less rapey and put concessions on the ramps. There isn't room to move out there at halftime.
Get rid of the strip searches trying to enter the stadium. Or learn to profile like real cops.
Lastly... Fireworks. Everyone loves fireworks. After every touchdown. After a win. Whatever.

1. Georgia showed other games during timeouts, we should do the same.
2. Except for Callin' Baton Rouge, the only music coming out of the speakers should be the current R&B Top 40. It keeps the team and SS into it which then feeds the rest of the crowd. Bama did this, and it was VERY effective.
3. Lay off the PA during timeouts and the end of quarters. Damn. Just play music. Nothing gives the crowd a buzz kill like recognizing the ExxonMobil distinguished Assistant Associate adjunct Professor of Applied Biokenetic Micro Chemistry. We're at a football game, NOBODY gives a shite.
4. Sell alcohol.
