Every kid I ever knew who was going to play college ball wanted to know what the depth chart looked like before they decided. Sometimes it did not matter, as they all think they are the best ever, but I would expect that looking at the two freshman corners would be the opposite of saying "early playing time". They both basically beat out last year's starters, who were also underclassmen.
Look, I love LSU. But if you have two of the best corner backs in the conference returning and they will only be sophmores, some kids are going to question how hard it will be to get on the field. Just one of the downsides of having great young players on the team. Of course, I am certainly not as all knowing as you or your aunt with balls and I am sure that a fact like that would make no difference to you or your aunt with balls.

Two FR staring DB's indicates lack of upperclassmen quality. Little depth for next year. Prime opportunity for incoming class to break thru. Dino u sure u love LSU?

Nowadays we have sometimes 4 even 5 corners on the field. And the coaches will play young guys.

I'll say this. Mills looked damn good last year as a true Freshman. I don't like talking negative about our players but lets just say he was passed by two new true freshmen this year. In your mind, you think a player will always take a step forward from year to year. A lot of times that happens but it also doesn't sometimes.

suspect it is like christmas, we gotta wait to open our presents. We know what we asked Santa for and hopefully will get most on the list. The results will be known when the armour game is done. till then hopefull speculaton.

I had my day in the R.Randle era...
brought exact info to the board from his step brother dmitch..
Hung out with him, heard stuff not privy to regular fans so not all 27,000 post were useless....only about 26,995 of them.
And I do have a life, it consists of working to pay taxes for this country to run, and fishing

It's gonna be a hell of a competition and we will rotate like we do DL (when we have the depth)... Lot of first rounders no matter how much they play.

I have a different take on Mills. He has definitely had some bad moments but IMO he has been the recipient of some HORRIBLE safety "help" at times. It is clear on some of his giveups that he definitely expected deep help from the safety that never showed or came late. Loston was the offender a couple of times for sure. White has given up some long TDs also like the one against A&M. Anyway, I dub Jalen Mills this year's version of Danny McCray, the former safety at LSU. Sometimes the guy nearest the defensive bust gets the blame even though he was the one doing his job.
