Right. It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay. I'm sure if someone offered a 1,000 you wouldn't take it.

But, I guess it's perfectly acceptable for folks to relinquish their tickets for a less desirable game for say...20 bucks or so ?

Someone can ask ANYTHING they want....market value will determine whether the price-point is out of whack !

Thanks, but I've got my own tickets...seems kind of high and mighty of you to proclaim anyone who sells THEIR own tickets, including ALL fees...to be somehow less honorable than you !

Seller: I'll try to get $500 for each of my upper deck tickets a week before the game.
Buyers: LOL

If you have no intention of going to the game, fine, make a few bucks, but move the process along. Let guys who want tickets get them in due time.

Here is the relevant law regarding scalping.
Louisiana (Louisiana Revenue Statute § 4-1), has mandated that online Internet resellers can sell tickets above their face value if they receive approval from the event and venue operators. Tickets cannot be resold on the street or an office in Louisiana for more than their face value price.
So an individual using a site like the TE may technically be in violation since these are individual sales and not controlled by the site.
I'll still buy em if they're reasonable.

I never pay above face for TS games, never have had to, i simply go to the stadium 15 min til kickoff hold my fingers up and its as simple as that
and yes if you're trying to sell your tickets for a high premium on the ticket exchange i will cockblock on you in the thread to let the people know that may not know, that they can get them for reasonable if they just wait close til kickoff

It will be the same way on Saturday. Several of the posters on the ticket exchange are Aggies trying to buy tickets from LSU fans. I know a bunch of Aggies who are making the trip and plan to buy tickets outside the stadium.
The 2011 SECCG was disgusting though. LSU was 12-0, ranked #1, and a game away from the BCSCG. With the exception of 2007 when we lost to Arky the week before, I think that it was our worst fan turnout of all of the times we've been to the SECCG.

Good for you....and I really don't give a rats arse about your supposed feeble cock-blocking efforts on TE. I've sold any number of tickets for face and below, as long as the market so dictates...other high "value" tickets will sell for more and that's just the way it is...ever heard of stubhub,ticket city,nfl ticket-exchange ?
Slamming ticket posters who want face+TAF on TE is just stupid...it drives potential posters away....just my opinion, of course !

I have no problem with someone asking face plus TAF. I do think its absurb someone is asking $500/ticket.
