Orgeron to southern miss

I would absolutely love this but,

1) they aren't going to fire a guy for losing who inherited an 0-12 team and

2) we could barely afford Ellis Johnson's buyout (had to sell back the Nebraska home game) so there's no way in hell the athletic department can afford to shitcan another coach

USM needs Monken to take a coordinator job somewhere. He can't do the necessary recruiting. Doubt they can afford Orgeron though.

He hasn't even brought in his 1st recruiting class yet.

I'm actually a really big fan of skip. We are literally te youngest team in the country. I think Skip is going to do some really good things with the program.

I will say, I am definitely in the minority when it comes to that opinion with most tech fans

Southern Miss about to go 0-10. Hard to believe it but it's almost a certainty they go winless for a second straight year.

I know. But I don't think he'll recruit sufficiently. But he's more of a Fedora type coach...he'll be fine at a place with a steady talent pipeline.
I don't think he's the nitty gritty go out and find players recruiter they obviously need. They USM mis-judged that the coaching was the largest problem, when it was largely talent.

I'll give our administrators credit...they knew our big problem 2 years ago was personnel: no linemen and little team speed. So we went recruiter first and prayed he could coach. And that was the proper priority for us in that situation.
