I agree. I've been fortunate enough to drink it side by side with Heady and Pliny several times. I like it better than Pliny. It is all personal preference of course, but Heady and Double Jack make Pliny seem too malty.

I've only had Pliny once and it's been about a year and a half ago... My tops are heady, Pliny, abrasive, and DJ for sure... Heady is my favorite... After that it would be tough to pick. I need to get some of this years abrasive, but I remember it being every bit as good as DJ

Heady
On the Wings of Armegeddon
Abrasive
Double Jack
Pliny

Would throw Zombie Dust in there, but it's "just" a pale ale.

It makes me sad that Hopslam never gets any love in the best DIPA conversation. It's definitely near the top for me.

That said, all the DIPAs that have been mentioned are badass too.

Yeah, it should certainly be classified as an IPA and it is awesome. Not a DIPA though.

I haven't had ZD yet, but I forgot about FFF dreadnaught ... I only had a small pour at a tasting but I remember it being top notch. I'd probably put it in my top 5 but further research is needed

I've never had it, but since it's Bells I'd think it would be great

That Toppling Goliath Sosus we had with UT, was really freaking good too. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on some more of that to see how it stacks up to some of the other heavy hitters.

Heady stands out with its pure, clean and fragrant hops component. It is all about the hops, but without being too bitter.

All of these are great beers, of course.

Okay. I'm loving this. I'm a little tipsy, but posting helps recall. I saw that Wise, bbrou33, and TheChosenOne are hitting me up. I'm excited. I have a limited supply because I'm depending on a significant other and I can't overtax that connect, but I'm super excited to share.

Here's my real catch -- how do I ship? What are the best methods? I feel like we've had an outstanding thread with pics and everything (I'm assuming), so how do we do it? I've only done in-person with R2R. If you can show me how shite needs to be packed I'll glady get my girl to pack away and ship until all of our stomachs are content.
