Hasn't played a single snap all year.
Anyone know what the deal is with him?

Pretty sure he was injured in the spring game. Don't remember if it was season ending or not

I believe i heard he was redshirting

He bulked up to 230 and that makes him a defensive end for Chief

Last I heard, this was the official story line from the coaches. Because of depth issues at DE he spent the entire spring and most of fall practice working at DE. Once the coaches decided they had enough bodies at DE, he was too far behind the other LB's to catch up this year so he is being redshirted. Not sure if I buy all that, and I also think that if he had enough talent to supplant Welter they would have burned that redshirt by now.

You mean what ever happened to Jeremy Maclin

I was wondering that too.
That big cat drill with him and Hilliard, I think it was last season, was insane.

I would take a bad year to red shirt and develop key guys and I hope to god that is what's happening? We need to redshirt more guys whether they like it or not..... Red shirt guys come back bigger stronger, more confident, and just better FB players almost every single time. Some guys are put in bf they are mature and their confidence is shot once they realize that they have a tough road ahead. If you give them that tough road to begin with they mature in a much healthier way, and are ignorant to the fact that they may not be as good as the competition. Now there are guys that are ready and you have to seperate these guys from the rest...... There just isn't that many that are ready straight out. I think RS is a very good thing for these kids and we shouldn't tell them otherwise, also shouldn't be talking guys that aren't ready for the NFL into going. You have to recruit those guys too and tell them the truth..... It's not all about the quick dollar but the longevity of that dollar! Just my 2 cents.
