Oregon Stanford Predictions

In nervous and pumped for tonight. Think this game comes down to our offense vs. their defense. Our passing game has been struggling the last few weeks. Think if we are going to win Hogan must play well which will open up the run game.
Oregon will likely get a few big plays but overall think the defense keeps them under 30 points.
Think Stanford pulls this off at home 27-24 with Ty Montgomery making a name for himself tonight.

Stanford needs to run the ball, run the ball, run the ball. Work the clock, play intense scheme on defense, and go find a lucky rabbits foot to put in the coach's pocket.
Oh
And Oregon will win. Sadly

How is Standfords D this year? Oregon usually shits the bed once a year, and this game seems to be an obvious choice for a Duck loss.

Some talking head on the radio the other day was saying the Stanford D is where it has always been. But, no Stepfan Taylor and Hogan playing subpar means the offense has regressed, and therefore no upset.

Stanford Defense has played very well this year for the most part. Shane Skov looks like he has returned to his sophmore year form after his ACL injury last year. He is a monster at MLB. Trent Murphy has 7.5 sacks in his last four games.
This game will likely come down to open field tackling tho. Oregon spreads the ball around in open space and uses their athletes to exploit their opponents. Typically we've lacked speed in the secondary in years past so Oregon's strength was our biggest weakness and thats why they killed us the two years prior. Now we've recruited more speed and that position isn't as much of a weakness anymore. Still Alex Carter and Wayne Lyons are going to have to play well or else DAT will burn us.
On thing to watch our for is that Utah and Washington had a lot of success passing the ball out to the flats and our DBs gave tons a cushion and they killed us out there. If Oregon follows this strategy tonight then we could be in trouble unless our DBs make the adjustment on the corners.

If Oregon allows all the points yall think they score I'll be sadly disappointed in the D. Which usually is the best unit in these big games.
They allowed 17 last year, 3 in OT, to a better offense than what Stanford has on the field this year.
