Per Jeffry Chadiha, ESPN on Colts regretting the Trade for Trent Richardson.

quote:

In reality, it's hard to think Alabama didn't make Richardson look better than he really was. He played with three offensive linemen in college who were selected in this year's draft – including first-round picks D.J. Fluker and Chance Warmack – and it's not like he's the first Crimson Tide runner to disappoint in the NFL. Richardson split time with Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram at Alabama. That would be the same Mark Ingram who has 1,107 career rushing yards since the New Orleans Saints selected him with the 28th overall pick in the 2011 draft.

I'm sure being a first round draft pick is a negative in Leonard's eyes

Oh no, a couple of running backs from Alabama were only middling performers in the NFL after being drafted in the 1st round and, in one's case, winning the Heisman

There are a million reasons for Leonard to come to LSU over Alabama, this isn't one of them

"Play here and even if you aren't quite as good as everyone thinks our amazing O-Line will hide any flaws you have and still get you drafted in the first round. On the other hand, if you are that good, you'll smash every record kept in college and be the first overall pick."

Yeah...

Haha seriously...

If anything it shows that Saban can make a average RB look good, and a good RB look great. And that gets them picked higher than they really should. And they get to run beind great OL.

Saban isnt responsible for what those guys do in the NFL.

No but if perception truly = reality, then the perception of organizational stabilty and sound leadership certainly tilts the scales in the wrong direction. So why not throw a few pebbles on our side.

No doubt Lacy runs with authority, if he stays healthy look for him to set running records. Fact is RB is limited by the quality of the OL and it's ability to open holes to get through. Cam gonna be a big plus for Bama for sure. Was hoping he would be opening holes for LF at LSU. Jus hope he is not going to be opening holes for LSU at Bama. But really i think LF is a Tiger all the way and i see nothing wrong with widow shopping on some body else nickle.

frick Trent Richardson. He was my 1st pick on my fantasy team and if he wasn't, I'd probably be undefeated at this point.

Ingram is a complete bust. I don't know what happened to Richardson. He was amazing last year. Obviously Cleveland knew something that others didn't trading him off so fast. I guess they knew his stock would steadily decline and basically screwed the Colts in the trade. So far he hasn't done shite for Colts just like he was struggling for Browns.

Rookie contracts now are nothing in comparison to the old CBA.

It's the 2nd contract that these guys will make $$$ on, and Ingram/Richardson will be on the wrong end of those deals.

and every single writer blasted the browns after the trade. It's looking like the Browns fleeced the colts and wouldn't surprise me to see him waived after this season.
