Give me some better parameters. Better ending scene? Better tone? Better final line? Best cliffhanger?

What's in the box is epic. No one , I mean no one, saw it coming.

The Prestige and The Usual Suspects are pretty much a tie IMO. Both get you re-thinking EVERYTHING.
Also high on my list:
Se7en
The Sixth Sense
Memento
Blair Witch Project
Citizen Kane (of course)
12 Monkeys
The Others
Angel Heart
Magnolia (I have short list of "takeaways" that I like to point out to folks after first viewing)

I actually kind of hate the ending of Heat. Great movie, but no way Pacino gets the drop on De Niro out in the field like that.
Not to mention that Pacino's pure luck hunch that some woman sitting in a car just has to be De Niro's woman always strikes me as pretty lame.
Specifically when De Niro told him in the diner that he'd leave her if the heat was around the corner. Pacino wouldn't have just assumed he'd have the girl with him after everything went sideways.
Still a great great movie, but the last 10 minutes are actually the weakest part imo.
Oh, and the correct answer in Last of the Mohicans. Obviously.

Body Heat
Shawshank Redemption (cheesy but effective)
The Departed (I like it when everyone dies)

No doubt. I was as angry as a Miles basher after an Ole Miss loss for like a week
Seriously, it still kind of upsets me even now as I type this.

The Ending to Gladiator was pretty awesome.

It's a lot harder to think of comedies with really great endings.
I think Bowfinger had one of the funniest final scenes ever.
Also high on my list:
Raising Arizona
National Lampoon's Vacation
Groundhog Day
Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail AND Life of Brian
Animal House
Up
and not sure what category this goes in, but... Big Fish.

More importantly, De Niro's character would not have risked everything just to track down that POS Wayne Gros. He would have eventually got to him, but not at the risk of getting caught. For a guy that was super calculated the entire movie, that was the worst part of the Heat ending.

I honestly can think of no good reason why they left that last scene out.
