Serious question about Colston.

We all know he has been struggling this year compared to past years. Today his effort seemed like it may have been lacking as well.
Is Colston on his way out? Can he get back to #1 reciever type performances? We are paying him a shite load of money. Has he cashed out?

is this a serious question or one of your "troll" threads?

Not sure I agree about his effort but there are a lot of #1's who would have caught a couple of passes his way

He can, he will.
We're fine tho, we spread it out a ton and Graham's emergence has really taken off like never before. BTW They need to pay the man. (Graham)

IDK what happened to him
He is not close to being the player he used to be

His short arm on that catchable 1st down changed my opinion of him.

The one where the ball was tipped? I thought he had his arms cradled to make the catch.

I would like to have a serious football discussion. If you have anything to add, then i would love your input as your insight is always well respected and appreciated.

He did have lack of effort today. I called it out when I saw it too. He let two balls go right past him without much effort at all. He's a shadow of what he use to be. I don't think he's on the way out but a serious pay cut is coming next year or he will be gone.
Saints need a legit #1 to go with Graham and none of their guys on the roster are currently there. It's time to invest in the offensive side this offseason again because they're showing age. It starts with the oline and then they can spread it out from there.

Scary thing to me is, take away Colston and Moore (age), and we are mighty thin at WR. At least stills is developing well.

Colston's still a fine player, but he's not the man he was obviously. I think the saints need to consider drafting a larger possession wide receiver in the next few years. Besides Graham, we don't have a guy who can get a jump ball in the end zone. That was one of Colston's best plays and I think we're missing that this year.

He's no spring chicken either. Did he ever get paid? It not that could be part of the problem.

He just got his big contract.

No. Ball was falling into his hands and he pulled them back. He was obviously hearing footsteps. Should have caught it. Was a great pass! He's a different player this year for some reason.

yeah no shite, those announcers were stupid all game and probably convinced half the fanbase the Colston should have had that. Ball was clearly tipped out of his way. He clearly didn't think the defender was going to get there.

people have to remember these action-reactions occur in split seconds. He assumed the DB wasn't gonna tip it, i.e. why he didn't extend further.
his arm was right where it should've been if it wasn't for the db tipping it up. easy to be a couch receiver if you could watch the action in slo-mo

He has taken a lot of big hits over his career. That wears on you. So if he has slowed down a bit or isn't the same as he used to be, that's why.
