I'm being swayed to Xbox One...

I've been a Playstation loyalist for 3 generations, and when both of the next-generation consoles were announced PS4 was a slam dunk win. However, as time has gone on and Microsoft has backtracked on the used games, etc, I'm failing to see what advantages the PS4 has at this point.
XboxOne's cable, media integration is ambitious and I like that they are really attacking to become THE only source of entertainment in the living room. Ultimately this isn't exactly a selling point for me because cable companies are resistant and you are still required to have a cable box, so I don't mind changing inputs still as I would need to for a PS4.
The real problem is that Sony still hasn't announced ESPN app, or HBOGo apps, or any extra media for the next generation, which Microsoft has for the current generation already. I'm failing to see the PS4 as anything more than the next generation of graphics, while Microsoft is at least trying to push the envelope in other directions as well.
Is there anything about PS4 I'm missing? Convince me fellow Sony loyalists!

PS4 will be $100 cheaper. Microsoft could always change their stance on used games, having to use the camera, etc.

Microsoft is going to spy on you with that camera

You forgot the several big title releases that were supposed to help launch the PS4 have been delayed.

I'm jut not convinced that the same big games are not for both systems. What exclusives are there?
Though I will say the main thing that intrigues me about the PS4 is their stance on being very developer friendly with the next-gen, which could allow for some cool Indy-games for download and such. But the big games are by and large for all consoles these days.

Figure out what you want in the system and what games. That usually answers the question for you. Once you find out start a flame war on the gaming board

PS4 is just a PS3 with better graphics. Where is the innovation?
And to the guy who said PS4 is $100 cheaper, that's nothing if you have the console for 6 or 7 years.

Not going to dig them up but both platforms have exclusive titles. Just depends what you want.
End of the day, I am sure both will be fine but I wouldn't purchase either for the first six months. Both companies rushed to get this out before Christmas and neither have a stellar history with equipment releases.
I would wait to see if the red ring of death style bugs pop up for either device.

I plan to, just want to make an informed decision and was wondering what other people have read/heard. I'm not buying at launch either way, but am going to wait as the guy above said. Let the bugs get settled, and see overall reactions for both consoles.

I'm completely torn. But am leaning towards the play station.
More power, better graphics. That should be the biggest deciding factor for games. All the other stuff doesn't matter to me.

Just better graphics LOL. 50% more then the xbox one. And 10-12xs more powerfull then the 3.
I like the game lineup on play station better too.

Just re-read your post. Hbo? Espn?
I want something that plays games. Cox has all my cable needs. The apps I have on my ipad with Apple TV is all I'll ever need. I can program and record from anywhere, watch different shows on my ipad, change channels etc.
I guess if you want ONE thing to do EVERYTHING then go ahead and get the box if it does it better (I don't know). But at the end of the day, I want something that plays games better (I am not a online gamer at all), and the play station is clearly better for it's intended use. Period. /thread etc. etc....
