Perhaps a more reasonable evaluation can be made.

Saban/Smart are better than Miles/Chavis. They knew OM's QB takes seemingly 5 seconds (an exaggeration, but still .. an awkward, slow arm delivery) to wind up and throw a pass. So they devise a defensive gameplan to crowd the line of scrimmage, blitz, put hits on Wallace before he can wind up and throw. Ala. shuts out OM.

Miles/Chavis' gameplan was to rush 4, sit back in coverage, based upon the belief Wallace would make mistakes and throw INTs. Wallace has a career day.

Attention to detail.

It may seem like a minor thing, but, in the competitive SEC West, where ONE game can make or break your season, there is no margin for error.

Miles is a good, solid coach. Chavis is a good, solid coach. Neither should be fired. But I wish like hell they'd retire. Yes, no doubt, I understand the old saying, "Don't wish too hard for something b/c it may come true." Yes, the Board of Idiots, and Joe Alleva are fully capable of making a truly shitty hire. But I can't help but think there is a coach out there who can recruit, administrate, not diddle the office secretary on a motorcycle, hire expert, cutting edge assistants and coordinators, and win BIG at LSU, without the clock management brain farts, really bad passive defensive gameplans, and apparently lacksadaisical (?) recruiting.

In short, I would LOVE to see what Charley Strong, or Chris Peterson, could do at LSU. But I will support Les and the team. I think he's ready for ESPN Gameday, however.

Are you keeding me?! WOW, what a game, HNAH??!

IT ALSO HELPS WHEN SOMEONE ON YOUR TEAM IN THE COACHES BOX TELLS YOUR COACHES WHAT THE PLAY WILL BE BECAUSE HE CAN EFFECTIVELY STEAL THE CALLS.

Manziel told me at the Manning Camp that scheme-wise LSU gave him more trouble than anyone . Now the players that afternoon, or most of them, aren't around anymore, but he specifically talked about scheme and that was interesting.

But yet Saban/Smart refered to Miles/Chavis for defeating A&M... LINK

Interesting twist to your thesis.

Ok now you are being a pussy, if you are going to put this all out there at least stand up for what you said. Firing and retiring are the same thing, you are saying you want them gone. Are you trying to be politically correct or are you afraid the posi-tigers will jump your arse?

Just curious, why don't you want him fired?? Is it the nice guy family man?? Is it a sense of appreciation for the 07 title?? Is it out of fear of making the wrong hire? What is the prevailing reason many don't want him fired, even his no supporters??

They got caught looking ahead to bama, and I don't blame them considering that a new post about bama is put up daily. Even last week before playing ole piss people are more obsessed with bama.
