Tackling vs Trying Strip Ball

One of the biggest issues that I havent seen discussed enough that killed us in this game and has been an issue all year is our guys seem to be making an effort to try and strip the ball instead of making a clean tackle. Defenders are missing to many stops to killa drive because they are all trying to make a play on the ball instead of the player. Is this what we are coaching now?

Turnovers change games. Its not an unreasonable tactic. Seems like something you should only use if you can't beat them by less subversive means, though.

i only saw this on two consecutive downs late when we needed a turnover.

I didn't have a problem with it. We were down in the second half and Ole Miss used a new RB.

Seems like a fair observation. I see it all the time. Tackles missed because of constantly trying to strip the ball.
