He was consistently pressured and didn't have a clean pocket to sit in as he has much of this season.

With the pressure came 'happy feet' and repeated mistakes in a effort to get rid of the ball.

The kid is pretty good but played scared much of the night. Confidence could be broken now in himself and coaching on both sides of the ball.

Saban will have a field day with him after seeing this game. Of course he probably would have already but this assures it.

Rest of the season could get ugly.

He can't deal with any pressure? Seriously?
He won't going pro if so.

His problem was Miles didn't let him get in shotgun til the 2nd half. Nearly every throw in the first half was out of PA, and they just blitzed before he could even turn around

Really??! You mean, even GOOD QBs (like Mett, like Peyton Manning) will make mistakes if pressured, hit, harassed occasionally? WOW, what a concept, HUH?! Wow, what a game, HUH!!??

So what happens if a below avg QB, who will graduate from Ol Miss, get a job selling insurance, and play intramural flag football in a rec league, gets pressured? You saw it when he played Alabama. The guy takes 5 seconds to wind up w/ his goofy throwing motion, yet Chavis lets him sit in the pocket, gain confidence, and post All-American stats. Way to go Chief. How about returning some of that $1 mil large back to the University coffers??

This is called projection, where you see your own emotions in someone else. Mett isn't afraid. You are.

His problem was that he threw four terrible passes, three of which were intercepted and one of which should have been.

Throwing into double coverage was his problem. He was also throwing short all night long for some reason. He had a horrible night and LSU would have won had he corrected his errors.
