Per Las Vegas, Danny Sheridan would open as a six inch on his knees underswallower to Saban.

Good - we should be about even by gameday.

Did he take a break from his witch hunt in Auburn to post that? What is the guy's deal with Auburn?

Sheridan is the oddsmaker for USA Today.

That's for damn sure. Sheridan/Vegas isn't saying that Alabama is ten points better than LSU by setting that line, but it seems like most people in this thread either don't understand that or just choose to ignore it.

This guy does this for a living. At one point, he was the man that set the opening lines for all the vegas hotels. Thats quite a talent. He doesnt have a dog in this fight, he is just stating the truth.
You are off on two points: (1) He does have a dog in the fight. He is a huge Bama homer and has been for years. (2) #1 Explains your second point, "at one point he..." He is not the man any more because he lost all credibility due to his lack of objectivity and national acumen.

I am just asking here; do you know anyone who is not a heroin addict or mentally incapacitated that bets based on USA Today odds? I don't. Personally I would follow the advice of Dennis Dodd first, in fact that chicken that predicts winners is a better choice.

Spot on. The line is agnostic. It's as big as it has to be to distribute the bets evenly. I would guess it's down to 7.5 points gameday unless LSU stumbles against Ole Miss.
An in form Bama at home doesn't really make a 10+ point win unrealistic.

Not sure what that has to do with anything. But the fact that the most read national newspaper puts his point spreads inside their paper and on their website pretty much disputes the fact that "nobody listens to him." And that's all I was pointing out.

My point is this; Two and a-Half Men and Two Broke Girls are popular television shows. Do you know anyone you would trust with your money that watches those shows? I'll tell you what, it is your money, you just bet the wad on Bama at those odds. You are probably the genius here and I am probably the idiot. Danny Sheridan is so incredibly important that he doesn't even have a Wikipedia page. Do you know how hard that is for a public figure not to have a Wikipedia page?

I don't really get what you're rambling about. If one were to look in USA Today and see the following line "ALABAMA -10 Louisiana St," what exactly are we trusting about that with our money? You realize saying that he is the oddsmaker for USA Today means they put his odds/point spreads in there, right? "Odds" doesn't mean that USA Today has a section where Sheridan is saying there's a 70% chance Alabama wins, right? I don't understand how someone seeing a betting line in USA Today means they're trusting them with their money. Yet you've rambled on about that for two straight posts now.

I never said nobody listens to him. I clearly stated that he is very influential among the heroin addicts and the mentally impaired.
