Yeah, it was pretty much the Bat Signal flashing out "We know a lot of you guys are rich...you're coming here in yachts for God's sake! Time to step it up like the other schools' alumni and break out that checkbook!"

No comprende.. Seattle pro fans support their teams like no other. Playing at the Seahawks is louder than anywhere and they sell out soccer games on occasion (80K+ crowds).
Dude. The Seahawks and Sounders have amazing support, but CenturyLink Field doesn't hold anywhere near 80,000 for football or soccer.

Supposedly the Sounders average around 43,000. They had 67,000 for a match against Portland this year

Its no mystery why they didn't show that bikini woman's face.
Labeling your city "forward thinking" isn't really saying anything, and sounds pretty douche.

We won big before. That was a dumb article
The reason we haven't won for the past decade is directly due to the terrible hires made and nothing to do with anything mentioned in that article. I do feel like Sark has got us to the point where we should be top 20 every year from now on and with the possibility of some breaks getting us into the top 5-10.

The most striking thing about a football game here at the University of Washington is what surrounds it.
Fans arrive not just by car and foot but by yacht. From the grandstands of Husky Stadium, they can see the rippling waters of Lake Washington and the crown of Mount Rainier. The school's acclaimed medical center sits across the street among spires of evergreens, part of an institution ranked among the nation's top 20 public schools. In the distance rises the skyline of Seattle, one of the world's most dynamic and forward-thinking cities.

Seattle isn't the South. "My nickname's not Bubba," he said.
Is Seattle still butthurt about Boeing opening up a facility in SC and continues to shift its investments into our area?

Remember reading the same thing about Seattle in Jim Bouton's Ball 4. That's why Bud Selig move the team.
Now looking back at all of Seattle's pennants & world series over the past 50 years, they might have been right.

Absolutely. And probably use the actual word "butthurt" when describing their sheer envy of Columbia, SC

I love Seattle, but that could have been an Onion article.

I think the whole article is an elaborate plot to slam South Carolina through criticizing the entire south

UW had great teams under Don James, and can again. Just a lack of commitment to the program over the years has hurt.
It's a great place for college football and the "civilized" support college football as much or more than they do professional sports.

This sounds like the same line USC fans use when they're losing. It's a load of BS. The fans come out when the team's winning.
By the author's logic, Starkville should be known as Title Town.

We do live in somewhat of a bubble here in the south as far as CFB goes. Obviously no region is immune from scandal, but you have to wonder what other parts of the country think when they read about poisoning trees, drunksputting dicks on peoples faces, etc
